Season to Date: 31-24-2 + 8.44 units
Last Week: Pass/Out of town

Short card tonight, and nothing really excites me about the games. I remember a few years ago actually enjoying watching an NBA game, now it seems like just a chore which is less fun than laundry. Since the zone or expansion or a million other reasons the product is down and Stern and co. should be ashamed of themselves. Oh well.......

Iverson/Yao Ming UNDER 175 2 units. Houston played a double overtime game yesterday. Look at the minutes....Yao played 50, Franchise played 50, Cuttino played 53, and Cato played 44. I don't necessarily believe in the tired theory all the time, but even if these guys aren't which is hard to believe, Van Gundy isn't an idiot. He will tell his team not to run the ball and play a slow half court game. Philadelphia isn't a run and gun team either. They are a waste time off the clock and let iverson throw up a prayer type team and occasionally 42-45% of those will go in. Houston should have tired legs which is bad for jump shooting and big Ming should be able to win the battle of the boards which is bad for all the bricks philly throws up. Both teams hit around 73% for free throws which is ok, but nothing outstanding. 3 of the last 4 games have gone under in this series.

Atlanta -3 (-120) 1 unit. Ex dream teamer and future hall of famer Christian Lattner is questionable for tonights marquee matchup of 2 eastern conference powerhouses:rolleyes: . 3rd in 4 spot for Washington although they have had a day to rest. I love Arenas, but nothing else on this squad. After a decent start to the season hovering around .500 they have now lost 4 in a row. Atlanta had a real rough western road trip early in the season and actually showed life in all their games. Disappointing home blowout last time out against the nets, but they should rebound tonight against a struggling wizard team.

Dallas/Portland OVER 195 1 unit. I have no problem playing unders in the NBA, but its over or nothing for me with Dallas at home, and tonight its over. Dallas plays ZERO defense, and although Portland might try to keep it slow, they will succomb to their dumb mentality and try and run as well. 7 of the last 9 meetings between these two have had over 200 points scored. Both teams should be rested. Portland has nobody to contain Nash or Nowitzki, and Dallas has no one inside for Davis and Wallace. Run and gun game all the way. Dallas averaging 113 points a game at home. Portland allowing 100 on the road. Neither team likes the other as evidenced by last years playoff series and I'm sure we'll get a few technicals and lots of fouls tonight. Dallas shooting 85% from the line. I don't see how this one stays under 200, but I've been wrong before and will be again, just hopefully not tonight.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL
