Wow, what a bad of d***s I am for taking FSU/Bama/Oregon. Was afraid of exactly what happened to FSU (no show combined w/ Michigan playing their tails off); was like a deer in headlights. And w/ Bama/Oregon, just poor reads. UCLA is very-well coached (Cronin was questioned as the guy when hired, but looks every bit of the part now; just being at UCLA will get him GREAT recruits which you can already see the end product coming to fruition---versus what he had to scratch/claw for at Cincy). USC looks like an NBA team...and played like one. They don't have the skill-level that Zaga has, but they have everything else and then some (Mobley more talented than Suggs?). If we've learned anything so far this tourney, it's that the top 2 (Gonzaga/Baylor) are FOR REAL, the third (Michigan) is very close to them, and the PAC10 was/is the best conference in NCAAB this year (3 in the final 8). The CREAM is starting to rise to the top, and all 3 PAC10 teams will be dogs...dare I bet against them?

Tourney: 15-12-1 +520
Tonight
Oregon St +8 330/300
Watched the last 2 games (for both them/Houston) and yes, agree that Houston should be favored, but no, I don't think it should be this high. From the tourney sample-size, Oregon St's body of work is more impressive (Tenn, which OK they were not very good; Ok St--yes, good; and Loyola--yes, good). Houston has beaten Cleveland St (pass), Rutgers (7th best team in BIG10, which we've seen underperform if you're name is not Michigan), and Syracuse (which finished 8th in what will go down as probably one of the worst years in the ACC in recent memory). I know that Houston is very difficult to prep for, they are aggressive, they play 100 guys, and etc, etc, etc, but Oregon St just beat a team similar (sans the 100 guys). This bet is more about Oregon St being good/underrated, than it is about Houston being not so good/overrated. Add-in that Oregon St ALSO won the PAC10 (best conference), and this team believes. Won't lie that if they get down by 8-10, I'll be worried, but here's to me thinking that won't happen.
Final thought: the Beavers are coached by a man named Tinkle and they are gonna take down the Cougars!
Small bet: 1st half UNDER 59 110/100
Baylor -7.5 440/400
I don't think this one needs much of an explanation. Baylor has been arguably the best team (w/ Gonzaga) all year (and last year). The only thing to worry about is a back-door cover, but this line feels too light for that to happen. I do think Musselman will have Arkansas ready to go, and they won't (better pray) have the lapses in play like they did against Oral Roberts, but it just won't matter. Everything that Arkansas has, Baylor has but better (Justin Smith can play, but the combo of Vital/others makes it a wash). This is just taking the best team (by at least 10 pts) and rolling with them. Don't overthink it.
May look at live under bets on this one---could see them coming out hott pushing that in-game total to 160 and I would pounce on that.
