Texas -4 over Tex Tech ***
hostile crowd and Raiders hate the Longhorns but Tex coach is gone so maybe that won't be a factor as much like last year. Texas is 1st in the B-12 and is trying to get a 1 seed in the tourney. They just blew out a decent West Vir team Terry is 14-2 since taking over . They are no 1 on offense in conf and there real weakness is there front court. But TT doesn't have a front court that could give them problems . Texas's inside players Allen is listed as 6'8 but really 6'6 . Cunningham is 6'6 and Bishop is 6'6 but playing like a 6'10 fd.. Undersize but all are role players and play solid defense and can score But the Texas gds are the real weapons. Carr is scoring,playing the pt and can penetrate anytime. Jabari Rice is a jump shooting machine. Leave him open and its a swish. No rim.. Hunter the transfer from Iowa St who is my favorite player is in a slump . What I liked about Terry the coach the other day after whipping West Vir he gave Hunter time on the court with his 2nd string. Then you have Morris a freshman with loads of talent and the 6'8 Mitchell kids who plays above the rim and of the bench. He has a high-lite top 10 espn play of the day even though espn hasn't shown one of his plays. It will someday. Allen scored his 2,000 points the other day and Carr has 2,000. They are the only two teammates in the country that have 2,000 each. Texas Tech is in last place in B-12 going against 1st place tonight. But they are 10-4 at home but Texas has a gd orientated team and think they won't rattle as much away from Austin. Think the No 1 seed is on the Longhorns mind. And if they stay focused think they get a rd win and cover Texas does have some big games ahead but I don't by the look ahead theory in this game. You never ever look ahead playing in Lubbock .
Baylor -6.5 over West Vir ****
I am trying to forget watching WV play after saturdays 90-64 blowout loss to Texas. But Baylor to me is just as good as Texas and maybe even better. Flager and Cryers as gds are amazing. Then you have Keonte George who is the best freshman in the country. Baylor already beat them at WV 83-76 Not sure of the line but think its way off I see the Bears at home winning by double digits ...Baylor is right behind Texas in conf standings and I'm not sure what Huggy Bear is saying to his team saying we get blown out in Austin on saturday, now we take a bus ride up to Waco and play them .. Love the bears tonight
Hofstra -9.5 over Drexal ***
Pride is hot winning 10 in a row. . Hof has last yrs POY in Estrada who is one of the best gds in the east coast. But he has 2 players that are playing better then Estrada in Thomas and Dubar. This team is solid They just beat Stoney Brook,Northeastern and Monmouth by 21,21 and 30 .Mihalick the coach who was the former coach at Niagara had to step down as coach of Hofstra for medical reasons Think he has won over 400 college games. So Speedy Claxton the former great gd of Hofstra took over. He is without a doubt the best coach in the country that can still play. But that doesn't count.
