Let's get off to a nice start tonight.

Monday Plays:

Villanova +6 *** (3 Units)
Nova coming off a tough loss at Georgetown should propel some motivation tonight. Out of the top tier teams in the Big East with the exception of Pitt, W.Virginia has had a tough time pulling away against teams even at home. Louisville, Syracuse, Marquette, Ohio St, and Marshall all stayed within a basket or two in Morgantown with them losing to Cuse. Now Wright's squad comes in hungry and has no plans on looking past this game. They are the better team and getting +6 points is icing on the cake. Also a little side note as well, in their next game W.Virginia has a huge rematch against hated rival Pitt on the road where Nova goes home to play Providence.

Appalachian St -4.5 ** (2 Units)
I think the Mountaineers have surprised themselves and are beginning to realize just how special this season is becoming. Thanks to this past weekend, they legitimately have a shot to win the division. They have been a tough gritty team winning on the road against Wofford, Davidson, and division leader W.Carolina whom they swept this season. The Spartans have struggled against all teams in the conference. This looks like a classic letdown game for the Mountaineers, but I strongly feel they understand what is at stake and now if they want to be the division champions, they control their own destiny.

Citadel/Charleston Under 130.5 ** (2 Units)
This will be an interesting match. Citadel has been able to dictate the tempo of games the entire year. The Cougars want to run, but the Bulldogs 90% of the time prove to dictate the flow whether they are at home or on the road. Percentages show this game could easily be a 66-59 type game. If Charleston gets to a lead and can somehow force Citadel to move faster, then all bets are off. I will take my chances. Not a big play, but a decent lean.

Kansas -2 *** (3 Units)
Texas is tough and at home will prove to be a very difficult matchup for Kansas. However this past Oklahoma roadtrip took a lot out of the Longhorns where they split, but their bodies were taxed to the fullest. Kansas had an easier time with Nebraska and was able to rest some of their starters knowing fully well they needed them to be fresh for this huge game. Texas is long and James is a beast. Also Pittman gives them that extra body inside that causes problems. The only thing is, Kansas is one of the few teams that matches up tremendously with their size and length. Aldrich and Morris will cause the Longhorns to have a tough time getting into their comfort zones creating bad shots. Then you look to the guard play and Kansas has the experience, talent, and athleticism to break down Texas over 40 minutes. Also, the Jayhawks have a big edge in the success at the free throw line and that will prove to be a major factor down the stretch.

New Mexico St -2 *** (3 Units)
I really enjoy watching this Aggies team. They just get after it with so much energy. This game is crucial as the winner has a good shot at the division with Utah St. The crowd should be electric and they have been able to relax being at home for a week while Louisiana is travelling cross country. Both teams have the first meeting fresh in their minds as it was only a week ago. The Aggies stole one at the Thomas Assembly Center. I like the New Mexico to maintain that energy and pull away in the end.

Good luck! I might post another. If not have a great night everyone.

Best,
Kaiser

Lots of luck tonight!!! I love KS 1st half (much more than game).... Seems like everyone is on KS... Not too much TEX bettors... Made me think twice about taking the game.... Just in case there was some "funny business" at the end of the game, I took the half instead...

A good night going 3-1 with a push for (+6 Units). I was hoping that New Mexico could have held on to the 8 point lead with 7 minutes to go, but Tech made it a game down until the final seconds. Unfortunate as the night would have been sweeter if I got that cover rather than pushing.

Let's continue the week strong tomorrow. Hope many of you made out tonight.

Best,
Kaiser
