I was at Texas's last game in early Feb vs Baylor sitting court side in row 2 right behind the Texas bench ..Baylor won 74-68. I bet Baylor but forgot the line. think it was -10 or -12..Baylor was up by 16-18 points and it looked like an easy win for them and me with my line....then with about 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter Mulkey took out Brown and Cox their twin towers...Brown was the B-12 POY last yr and Cox was the Def POY of B-12...she also took out smith their best guard..was thinking they needed a short rest for the final 4-5 minutes push...well Mulkey doesn't put them back in..and suddenly Texas is on a roll...they score 10 straight points and its a Baylor 4-6 pt lead...and Brown and Cox are still sitting...I am going to lose this game after thinking I was so comfortable...final score Baylor 74-68...was thinking these guys are rivals,they recruit the same kids...etc...and the fans were brutal to Kim the Baylor coach...every time she got up off the bench they were ruthless...a lady sitting next to me who I found out later was married to a Texas regents board member killed Kim the entire game..screaming about her outfit she was wearing...
anyway not sure what happened in the 4th qrt...all I know is I never bet woman until the NCAA's and di it last yr when Uconn came to austin...thought Huskies would roll all over Texas think the lines was -12-14..and Texas played tough and lost by 6 or 7 pts..so am 0-2 with the ladies...
was wondering what the line is tonite..Brown inside is tough and Texas has no post players to stop her..Cox on defense is a force rebounding and blocking shots...Cox is really good and Landrum is nice...Texas has Holmes wh when I saw her had just come back from injuries..Danni Williams had a career nite hiting 3's from all over..don't think she can do that in Waco...Texas ladies have been up and down...Sug their pt gd is outstanding..she has more basketball IQ then the entire mens teams..if the line is about 10-14 I would take Baylor ...but I'm 0-2 with the ladies..hopefully Holmes the top scorer for Texas doesn't get her 3" eyelashes in the way...and the Texas ladies wear way to much makeup...maybe all the womans teams do...but when your one row behind the bench you see everything...
