few thoughts from yesterday:
woulda been a 4-4 lose the vig day if not for playing the SNF game. a trap I often fall into. was out at a party all day and when i got back, had enough time to 'cap' the night game. actually I had already capped the game and was gonna play Pit or pass. after reading through posts here I was swayed by the one and only wolfman (no blame or bashing KC, in fact I believe it was me that jinxed your pick
). seriously though, lesson one - do the homework or pay. regarding the total, there is almost never a good time to go under a total of 33 (lesson 2). once again swayed by sentiment, but not accessing blame. I shoulda known that Balt would have to go to air because they wouldn't be able to run against the iron clad pit 'D'. Hindsight is always 20/20. regarding my day plays, I even said that I rarely play the same side in a teaser and straight (lessen 3). end result - washington killed an otherwise solid teaser (Jax/Ten which I was gonna do in a two teamer) and the straight play. this was the really kick in the but for me yesterday. long story short is, I am a great example of 'do as I say, not as I do'. If I stuck to my own gameplan, the last two weeks would not have been so sucky and more like the previous weeks where I woke up raring to go the following monday morning. I don't think anyone 'blindly' follows my plays, but if they do, I hope some of this hits home and others take something out of it. If not, I type this in hopes that I take something out of it and stop falling into some of the same old traps as i did in my early days playing the NFL. maybe someone will step up and smack me in the back of the head next time they see me sway from 'the plan'.
anyways, sorry to babble, but like I said, typing this is my own form of smacking myself in the head.
