1-2 on sunday ends the winning streak and brings record back to 28-24-1. two for tonight:
tenn tech +13: some value here on tech i believe. golden eagles coached by dean smith protege' jeff lebo, pretty good guard in his day. tech was ovc champ last year but lost in finals of conf tourney and ended up snubbed by ncaa tourney as a result. tech picked to repeat as conf champs this year with veteran starting lineup of three juniors and two seniors. guardplay is especially strong. lebo knows that this is the kind of game his boys need to show up well in to avoid future ncaa snubs and they've had nine days off to prepare for the cardinals. as would be expected of backcourt-driven team, eagles excel at passing and hitting the threes. tech lost by single digits earlier this year @ tenn, a comparable team, and last game lost by seven to n mex at the pit. cardinals not shooting well lately, missing over 50 threes in the last two games and have tennessee coming up thursday night in a big espn national broadcast game. luke whitehead's back is still hurting. he will start but if he gets a little lame wouldn't be surprised to see pitino pull him and save him for thursday.
pepperdine -2: obviously in some good company here and not much left to be said about homecourt, harrick's return, dawgs' impending island trip, etc. will point out that pepperdine matches up very well with georgia's quickness, and will cause some trouble with their own speed, forcing over twenty turnovers a game.
had a long day and didn't get a chance to look over the long slate of added games but i wiil say that there is almost always some good value in such a slate. no time to cap them now but i for one am gonna coattail a few off of yak merchant's card - they look pretty good. good luck to all.
