disappointing 0-3 yesterday, overall record drops to 64-54-2. irish flop and fordham never really in their game. don't know which surprised me more - duke playing as bad as they did in the first half, or seminoles playing as good as they did in the second half. back at it tonight with four plays:
drexel +5
delaware +5
lumped these two together as they cap out very much alike. in both, better teams getting points which would normally represent homecourt ad between two equal teams (hope that made sense, i'm still a little jet-lagged).
marist -1-: not much to add to what has already been put out about this popular play. marist the clearly superior team. canisiua just broke an 8 game losing streak against bucknell, a 4-9 team that was without their leading scorer. line looks too sweet so i'm leery.
st mary's +10-: another popular and dangerous play but i really like it. utah shorthanded - everybody knows burgess is gone for a month. that loss is huge; he's their leading scorer, rebounder and shot-blocker. what hasn't been as widely reported is the utes are also without starting senior point guard travis spivey. seems he and majerus had a spat last week and travis got to stay home on this one. his replacement is a freshman, big trade down in this situation. majerus has a soft spot for st marys and wants to coach there when he "retires." even recommended current coach burgess for his job. nice spot for the home dog.
