Rec: 6-5-1
Tenn +1...1 unit....Despite last week's results, we have two teams that are going in different directions. Denver is getting by on reputation alone. Tennessee is the up and comer who will still be playing ball in January.
Denver has great home field advantage, right? Well, not really. They're only 6-7 SU at home since the start of last season. The Broncos are on a 2-12 ATS run in home games. This year, they are 1-5 ATS at home. Overall, they are on a 3-14 ATS run against the number on any field, 2-7 ATS this season. They're 0-6 in their last six chances as a favorite and are amid a 1-10 stretch in the favorite role since the middle of last season.
They went to Jay Cutler, but are actually sub .500 straight up since he took over.
The Titans, meanwhile, with Vince Young just win. They're 15-7 SU since he was named the starter in week 4 of last year. Against the number during that time, the Titans are an identical 15-7 ATS.......love them as an underdog as they're 13-3 ATS w/ VY as an underdog, 8-2 on the road.
After three consecutive games as a favorite--during which they were 2-1 SU, 1-2 ATS-I really like the Titans and VY now they're back as an underdog, even if it only as a slim underdog.
I would have made this a double play, but for the Haynesworth injury....still think Tenn gets in done. I just dont feel Denver is all that good.
