Had to dig into this game. Especially since the majority of MJers were jumping on the Vikings.
Its been a strange season so far for both teams.
Minnesota coming off back-to-back losses to the Buccaneers (41-14) and Eagles (48-17), the Vikings allowed 933 total yards. Last week the Eagles rushed for a whopping 272 yards, averaging 7.8 yards per carry and finished with 487 yards of offense and 33 first downs.
Its no wonder they are ranked 30th in yards allowed per game.

Offensively Minnesota are banged up on the left side and are expected to be without starting left tackle Brad Badger (turf toe) and Corbin Lacina (calf).
Mike Strahan will be licking his chops while advancing even further to break Mark Gastineau's NFL record of 22 sacks. Strahan currently has 15.

New York beat the Cowgirls by 3 then barely outlasted the Cardinals the following week.
But with Minnesotas lackluster "D" I see Kerry & Co. pulling the minor upset.

Actually the Giants open up as a 1.5 point favorite and the betting public eventually made Vikings a 2 point home chalk.

A few trends & Stats:

Minnesota is 0-5 ATS in its last five home games when the total has closed between 42 and 45 points.
The total for this Monday night affair opened at 44.
Current line is 46. & NY + 2.5

The Vikings are 2-0 ATS as a home underdog and 0-2 ATS as a home favorite.
They are also 5-10 ATS the last 15 efforts versus teams with a winning record.

Needless to say I'm going with.......

+2.5

Trying to finish up a few notes and my view on tonight's game. Don't want to bore people with some of the same things I came up with, so don't feel offended or feel like I'm coping.

gl tonight!

I think the under is the play tonight. I think the Giants will use Thunder and Lightning tonight and play a ball control game. The only thing the Vikings have going for them is their offense, which could explode (as opposed to imploding which it has been doing all season). Fassel is smart enough to know easiest way to win tonight is to keep the ball out of Cullpeppers hands. What do you think Senor?

NYG runs the ball, controls the clock and keeps the Vikings "D" on the field.
with Dayne % Barber
~~UNDER~~

But if that doesn't happen, expect the Vikes
(after getting trampled 41-0 in last years playoffs) offense to light up the scoreboard every chance they get.
Which means not only will Moss & Carter have decent numbers but then so would Toomer & Hilliard.
~~OVER~~

Its the Giants "D" that will make the difference and determine the outcome of this affair.

As for a total ?
Absolutely clueless

Ok so the Giants are only 1-5 ATS on MNF Throw out the trends.
Expect Daunte to take another beating like he did last week except not quite as bad in front of the home crowd.
New York wins controlling the clock with a running game.
Which leaves me to lean towards the UNDER
which now stands at 46.

adding the UNDER 46
