Two teams with offensive offenses that are the equivalent of watching paint dry. The total is 36 or less in this game for a reason. The bookmakers don't pull these numbers out of the air.

Have made beau coup bucks taking the unders in New England games and see no reason to switch now. See this as a typical good defense- weak offense battle that barring turnovers and the perplexing "Monday Night Effect" that sometimes occurs should lead to another low scoring affair. I much prefer first half unders as teams are usually more conservative early and as long as the score is close the play calling is more apt to be on the conservative side. Will do likewise in this game but will step out with two 2nd quarter bets that should be winners.

Believe it or not New England has failed to score a point in the 2nd quarter in 5 of their eight games. They only scored three points in two of the other three games. Only in week 2 against Philly did they put some real points on the board (14). So in 7 of 8 games this year NE has scored three points or less in the 2nd quarter (0 points in 5 games). They aren't much better in the first quarter but have at least managed to put points on the board in every game with the exception of their shutout loss in game 1.

Denver on the other hand, with the exception of last week's game against the Ravens, has managed to score in every game in the 2nd quarter. Their point totals in the 2nd quarter however have not been impressive. In their last six games they have scored no more than 7 points in the 2nd quarter. In week 2 they managed to put up 10 on San Diego and in week 1 17 against Cincy.

So to summarize all of this you have one team that can't seem to score but is especially impotent in the 2nd quarter and another team that has been scoring challenged of late but also weak in the 2nd quarter. Given that tonight's particular matchup of strong defenses and possible lousy weather only helps the noted trends and I think you have a recipe for two high percentage winners.

Denver (-1/2) ov New England (2nd qtr)
New England/Denver (Under 10 1/2) (2nd qtr)

BTW you can get Denver pick in the 2nd qtr but will have to pay extra juice. I got +117 at Pinnacle for the 1/2 point.

Interesting info Majestyk. I'm also a big under fan and have also made a few bucks on New England. Good luck.

Nice to see some write-up and analysis on this board with a pick for a change. This place is inundated with guys trying to "share" their info with everybody and all they ever give you is the pick. Nothing else. Big deal.
