I know we are all shocked and disheartened for this great kid. Read his story. This kid is a class act. Big winner in life. Hope he pulls through.

What are different books doing about this bet ? Will they refund ?

Since the game won't be resumed this week, all bets will be voided, with the exception of those wagers that have already been decided (prop bets like first play of the game, etc, etc, etc).

So if you had penn st - bills in a two teamer. It becomes a straight bet on penn state. Correct ? My book hasn’t done anything yet. That’s why I’m asking.

No way you can cancel the whole league slate.

Maybe move Thursdays game to Sunday, but can't scrap it all.

Actually, there is no Thursday game.

Agreed, you can't scrap every single NFL game that is left to be played.

Oh and there is no game scheduled for Thursday.

They can just push everything back one week. Makes sense. Keep the schedule the same. Just postponed one week.

That would cost the NFL like a gazillion dollars, because you'd push the playoffs back a week, thus pushing everything back a week. Just think of the tv money that is at stake if you moved the Superbowl, let alone all the sponsors and all the other shit.

I don't care how much you hate the NFL brass, you can't expect them to fuck up the next 6 weeks of games.

I am sure you don't know who Clint Malarchuk is, but when he basically died on the ice, (he was about 60 seconds from death and oh yeah almost got decapitated) even he said the game should go on. The NHL was going to suspend games for three days because everybody was so freaked out. When Clint Malarchuk finally came to in the hospital and got wind of this he said "fuck that shit, let the games go on" (I am paraphrasing). Point being, if
Damar Hamlin could speak I am sure he'd not be in favour of the NFL pushing every single game back one week and thus fucking up the playoffs. Now I may be wrong but I think even he would not be for what you suggested.

Oh and if you think Hamlin collapsing on the field was hard to watch, do not, I repeat, do not watch the video of what happened to Malarchuk, I watched that game live on tv back in 1989 and I am still haunted by what I saw. Anytime something like what happed to Hamlin happens in pro sports my mind always goes back to Malarchuk.

How would that cost nfl or sponsors. Games will go on. Just a week later. No one loses money. It’s only pushed back a week. Not cancelled.

It doesn't work like that, there would be an enormous amount of money lost if "every playoff game got pushed back a week". Just postponing the Superbowl back one week would be a logistics nightmare.

I think the NFL will call the game as a tie game and go from there. It is pretty much impossible to continue the game at this point. Buffalo and Cincy both have games scheduled in less than 6 days and then the playoffs are set to begin.

There is simply not enough time to restart the Cincy/Buffalo game.

Wow. Cincy would have something to say about that. I’m sure. A home game and they were winning. Now granting a tie ?

Since it is pretty much impossible to get the game in, a tie seems like the most fair outcome.

I think this week will play as is. They could play the buff cin game the following week and give everyone a week off before starting the playoffs and just not have the off week between conference finals and super bowl. Only the super bowl date is cement. The other playoff games can skip a week as nothing is scheduled yet anyway.

Just curious if anyone would know…

I had a 3 teamer teaser with the first 2 legs winning and the third was Buffalo. It was a 10 pt teaser. Anyone know how that would be graded?
