YTD 2-3

E. Ill +6 - Wrong Team is favored here. EIU is returning the top scorer in the OVC (I believe 2nd or 3rd in nation) in Domercant. Boise St graduates top scorer(Jackson), and top returning scorer is injured(Nabors). EIU also is a upper-classmen rich team which translates to experience with the EIU system. Boise St brings in new coach Graham (I believe from Oregon) which should mean a new "system". I look for an outright road win but will take the points.

UNC -10' - The NitLions and TarHeels will both need their freshmen to play significant minutes. Edge to the the TarHeels recruiting class. UNC was down last year and it all started with two early home losses to Davidson and Hampton. Look for frosh Sean May to be a big factor in this game as he has shown some good post play in the exhibition season. I think a backdoor cover is less likely than normal as after last season, UNC will not be calling off the dogs on anyone. Especially at home.

Columbia +21 - Rutgers is clearing the better team but look for Columbia to slow down the game and cover the large number.

Agree on the top 2 with you. Waiting to see if UNC goes down for me. OLY has it at 11.5. May end up just buying it down to 11.

Good luck.

I'm with you on EIU. Domercat will be on an NBA roster at this time next season. With the new coach for Boise stressing uptempo, you'd have to think over for the total, also.

Recap - 2-1

Recap - 2-1

EIU rolls and says "Points??? We don't need no stinkin' points"...Wish I could have seen this game but ESPN had the Stanford game...

Columbia scores 5 in the first 10 minutes and almost doubles that output in the next 10 to end the first half with 14 points. Rutgers forced alot of turnovers(26) which helped combat some shooting woes (4-19 3pts, 21%).

UNC - Couple of notes that I want to remember from this game. First impression of the freshmen...WOW!!! But if you noticed in the second half when PennSt went on a little run to cut the lead to 18, the TarHeels looked tired and sloppy. Doherty sat back and watched a 14-3 run without even getting up off his chair. If this was an upperclassmen-laden team, maybe you do not get excited and let the team work through a tough spell. But this is a VERY young team that can not start to think that talent without hustle will see them through. After last season, Coach Matt needed to call a timeout, and light a little fire to prevent the sloppy play.

I believe that Rutgers and UNC will meet in the next round and it will be interesting to see the more talented but younger TarHeels play against a team in the Scarlet Knights with turnover-creating defense.

2-1 tonight

4-4 YTD

Malt--

How does Cleveland St look this year? I heard one of their leading scorers last year got arrested for robbing C.C. Sabathia. Maybe its addition by subtraction for getting rid of the criminal.

V -

THe Vikings will struggle this year. They lost there top two scorers in Dixon and Harris. Jamaal Harris along with former Viking, Damon Stringer, were convicted of armed robbery against Tribe pitcher C.C. Sabathia. The two former Vikings played HS ball together at Cleveland Heights HS. Stringer, if you recall, played at Ohio State for two years before transfering to Cleveland State. He was the Big10 freshman of the year and led the Buckeyes in scoring both years if I am not mistaken. He never seemed to find his groove at CSU.

CSU vs CSU tonight...The Vikings rode the back of Coles who shot the lights out from 3point range. I do not believe this to be an every night occurence. Player to watch for the Vikings may be 6-11 (7-2 depending on who measured) Pape Badiane. If he develops, he can pose some great matchup problems.

I saw he was something like 7 of 9 from beyond the arc. I really, really doubt that will happen a second night in a row. I'm on CSU (Colo State, that is).

I wonder if the Stringer guy is any relation to Korey.
