Well Almost. If I thought slim dick millionaire were able to go tonight I would be blasting the Giants at 4.5 for a trunkful of reasons. The strongest being that Farve has neither the arm strength or decision making ability to keep the Vikings close. Firmly believe he adds 10 points to the Giants if he plays tonight. If the backup plays for minny all year theyt have a minimum of 2 more wins this year because they would have played ground and pound football all year long. Anyway this line opens at 1.5 and gets hammered by some ny wiseguy money and gets to 3.5 quick fast and in a hurry. 3.5 is a pretty good line for the GMEN in minny. They are getting healty and they have taken everything including the kitchen sink that injuries have thrown at them. They have also began to protect the ball.
The Giants pass rush now may be the leagues best and would not be surprised if they knock out another Qb tonight. I think the Giants will play run first conservative football tonight and look for some safe spots to open the game up with Nicks and some tight end seam routes with Boss. I look forward to them wearing down the Vikings midway through the second half and Bradshaw breaking the game open after the Big boy pounds away and softens the viking front seven for 2.5 quarters. If Farve were playing I would be much more comfortable laying the 4.5 but figure the Vikings will look to run more tonight. The Giants know this is a must wein now that they have been forced into a short week situation against the dog killer. The game being moved to tonight and Detroit hurts the Vikings even more then the Giants though.
This Viking team is only a few weeks ago from playing very undisciplined ball for tyhe coach they got fired and old habits die hard. They were not prepared for a road game, and I think this small crimp in their schedule is enough to bring back the underachieving squad that has been around most of the season. Look for the Giants to win the turnover battle and ther game. I'm taking a calculated risk and not going to let the Vegas number come into play tonight.
