The rebuilding CSU Rams are starting a six-game road swing that probably will tell coach Dale Layer just how big the job's going to be.

Washington State has all five starters back. They only had a 12-14 season last year, but it gave them a year to gell together. The Cougars are projected among the conference favorites along with Stanford.
