I like Wofford as a home dog vs College of Charleston.

Wofford played a very tough early schedule (#1 according to Sagerin at one point) including games at Auburn, Clemson, SC, NC State and Virginia. They played pretty well, even got a win at Virginia Tech.

Wofford's got a couple of freshmen who are also coming along nicely.

C of C has beaten Wofford 9 of L10, but this years team isn't as good as in years past.

It looks like Charleston's main season objective was to have a good showing in Alaska. They beat Okie State and Villanova up there so they probably will be undervalued for most of the year. I think Okie State would destroy them right now as they seem to have regressed significantly. Looks like Wofford has played a lot of bigger schools on the road and played respectably.

Why do you love C of C so much?

Here's my thinking: the last four games between these two have come down to the final possession...including last year's 66-64 win by Wofford in the SoCon opener...which broke a 16 game winning streak by C of C over the Terriers.

This is an improved Wofford team and is the last chance for senior stars Lenzly and Nixon (who in total account for 29 ppg) to beat C of C on their home court.

Wofford has a couple of young kids who have made them a lot better this year, including 6-9 freshman Tyler Berg who is averaging 10.8 ppg.

Plus C of C has been a bit of a Jeckyl/Hyde of late: they played a great 1H vs Vandy and then fell apart.
