Boilermaker, think I'll join your most of parlay for a quarter. However, though Knight is an asshole, he is a great motivator and game coach so I'll leave out that part of the parlay.

thanks,
Bill

Just a couple points I wanted to pass on: "Utah State shot 61.4 percent from the field to beat Utah 78-65 on Friday night at the Huntsman Center. Utah (2-1) led for only 3:29 of the game as Utah State (2-0) hit 27-of-44 shots. Travis Spivey scored a career-high 18 points, Britton Johnsen added 13 and Nick Jacobson had 11 to lead Utah. However, no other Ute player scored more than six points."
I am not sure if Utah will be so cold at shooting at the end of the game this time. I would think that they should be inclined to increase the energy level at the end if their coach has a half brain and looking at the coaches record he seems to have that. But If Utah state can shoot %60 on them then Alabama should be able to do the same w/ less effort. Utah center is slightly bigger then the Alabama Center size-wise but Bama Center has a better rebound avarage.

Don't know which way to go. Hoops is on the other side w/ a 1/2 extra. I appriciate your honesty in letting us know this is a strong pick for you. Some clowns in the NCAA foots were bold enough to offer a payback if their pick have lost. I can't even trust my picks to post them b/c I get hot and cold w/ the picks in all sports as I couldn't hit a nice long streak yet. So I am trying to just bring couple points here and there to help/contribute the forum.

GL and thanks.

Snoozing and Alien -- thanks for some good analysis of the Alabama game. I bet it earlier at -11 but it's been bothering me all day (this was a coattail pick -- I know nohting about either team). Just wanted to add a few words that what you write here is appreciated by EVERYONE.

I like the Bama here. I tend to not bet on them because of the vested interest that I have. Bama plays very well at home and early in the season. We have the run and gun offense so that means that if things get going right then there will be a lot of scoring. So I think the 11 is a good play.

Nolan, stop worrying, the Tide will come through for you (I hope).

I'm no mental giant and not the greatest capper but College basketball is played in the backcourt. The size and athleticism of Bama and Home Court coupled with Utah's weakness of conference and lack of strong backcourt and their front court is bigger but a bit slower put me on Bama by 15 points and possibly to 20.

Just came in and saw 15 point victory. Could have gone other way. Good day to find a mark in the "W" column.

thanks,
Bill
