while i am still practicing on paper, i am starting to like these more and more, thanks to nick's bringing these m.l.s out in the open.

these 3 caught my eye this week:

jets

special taste for dolphin meat, and again getting points.

washington

have come a long way from day one, and those winning margins are huge vs. ats. shocker of the week?

new england

underestimated all year long after brady became q.b., and have had some beautiful showings. now at home and st louis is a special treat. second shocker of the week?

looks like there should be a plus sign here. i would play the top 3 for 1 unit and the second 3 for 1/2 units. is there a better money strategy or do you have a different game selection?

Don't normally do 3 -teamers very often but since the lines looked good I couldn't resist.

let's kind of keep track of these, including yours on a "what if". i think they are like teasers; don't play them just for the hell of it, but when the situation is strong enough in your mind to make it worthwhile, say as a foregone conclusion of a match-up.

i am pushing it a little bit with the five picks and either way they go it is only one week's worth. in that sense, i like nick's approach better, where he picks 2, maybe 3. from the bad memories of baseball, the 3 picks make the most sense, as 1 win is a small loss, 2 a nice win, and 3 will keep you going for a couple of weeks for free.

this particular week, i lean more to the m.l. plays, as there are some attractive morsels out there. again, like talking to myself, if you will: S E L E C T I O N

quite a few people are on the bears.

personally, i think they are quite beatable, but knowing dungy's stubborness in sticking to his basic tampa football, regardless of the opponent, i just can't tell. sometimes they adjust, sometimes they don't.

seems like everyone knows you beat chicago in the air, but what will the man do? i have no idea.

i try to avoid tampa games, one way or the other.

i see some us cashed in this weekend.

3 out of 5, free plays for the next 2-3 weeks (in theory, as i still don't have a m.l. book). carol did everything right, but san francisco got away with the win miraculously. what a whammo if it had come in.

again, lost a ten team teaser because of all teams, g.b., or was it because of atlanta?

i did do 2 super 4team-13 points with green bay included in one, and just made it by 1/2 a point. phew!! never considered atlanta for the m.l., although i did suspect they would cover, catching g.b. napping, and did they ever.
