...hey guys, my pops and I are going to be down around your way in early March.... :cool: We're going to be fishing Lake Fork near Dallas.... Do any of you know anything about this lake or this neck of the woods? Are any of you close? ...the old man will want to fish and drink all day and all night, but my 27 year old ass would like to get out and see a few of those Texas sweethearts after a long day of fishing.... Any help? Suggestions? :confused:

Sorry bud, wish I could help you but I've only been to Dallas twice and that was a few years ago so I don't remember the names of the places I frequented.

I've seen a few posters here that are either from Dallas or Ft. Worth that could chime in and surely help out.

If you ever decide to keep going south and run into Austin, let me know and I'll show you around.

taoist---madjacks site produces once again.....i just happen to fish this lake once a month. Actually the girlfriend bought me a guide trip for this Friday, then we will fish out of my boat sat and sunday.

Where do you start...I take it you are coming Largemouth fishing?? I've got all kinds of good info and pics and stories(some stretched some not). Do you have a lake map with you? That would help if you did.

What dates are you going to be there?

I should be able to find some fish this weekend and then hope to continue going throughout the spawn, so I should be able to keep you update good or bad.

As far as the night life. I know way too much about that too.

Do you know where you are planning to stay???

let me know,

taoist,

If you are looking for a good place to stay try the Courtyard Dallas Addison Quorum (north dallas on Beltline and Quorum) just go to courtyard dot com and look for Addison. I travel to Dallas alot and this is the best thing going (location, price, great rooms with dsl etc). I don't know how far this place is from the fishing spot, but I do know that there are many top notch places to eat and drink within a mile of that hotel and lots of top notch eye candy too.

thats a great idea if you are staying in dallas....the problem with being in dallas is that you are a good hour and half from the lake....if you are just coming to fish and hangout there are a few "private" clubs around the lake.....a bunch of freaky east texas chicks hanging out in these clubs. Usually there is atleast one good looking one you can get to know and bullshit with......staying in Dallas would be an asswhip if you are just coming to fish....let me know when the old man decideds whats up.

you are correct about addison,.......its pretty much the place to be for babes and places to eat and hang out. I live about 4 miles north of addison on the tollway.

p.s. thank for all the info guys, maybe i'll have to leave him at the fishing camp one night and head out on the town with you guys to check out some of that "Texas Eye Candy"!!!! ;)

bcj--

I stay @ that courtyard at least 2 times a month, I do alot of business in Dallas. If you have some time maybe we can hook up @ the Hooters on Beltline (next to the Magic thing , don't know the name) and have a pitcher of Fosters. The funny thing about that hotel is that it's kind of a family. When I check in they know me by my first name, ask about my family (the wife and baby go with me sometimes), pretty much all of the same folks stay in the hotel week after week, just a great place to stay. Not to mention right in the middle of all the action :eek:
