For what it's worth, if anything, Stations Casino here, a fairly expansive locals operation sportsbook is run by Art Manteris. He has been around many years and is well respected here. His line for this fight shows Pac-man a -125 chalk, -105 on Morales. from what I've seen most shops have Morales a slight chalk by 10-20 cents. Like I said it may constitute jack, but it is a divergence from what's on the net. I'm leaning toward Pac-man a little. But my boxing picks have been from hunger lately, so I await opinions and analysis.

I'm obviously going out on limb here thinking the Mor-Pac rematch will go exactly the way the first one did. Morales was fresh off a loss to Barrera who's style has always given Eric trouble. He came back with something to prove and he dominated Pac imo. This time Eric is fresh off a loss to Raheem, but Raheems style is custom made to beat the Mexican style and its completely different from what Pac brings to the table. Raheem refused to exchange, in and out, Pac welcomes exchange and stays in the pocket. And he has to, he's 2" shorter and gives up 5" inches in reach.

I still think Pac is fighting way above his natural weight, hell he weighed 120 in '01 and '03 when he was 24, the guy's not getting any taller.

Don't get me wrong, Pac could outwork the older, slower Mexican. But I don't see him dominating or stopping Morales. Should be a great fight, Pac is very tough, I like the over and got it at -110.

Morales has gone the distance in all of his last 5 fights.

As always, thanks for the insight. I agree with you regarding Pac's height/weight stats. Both warriors who come ready. Real tough to figure, but I ain't giving up just yet.

Exactly! What is the purpose of this PPV fight? Gee, let me guess. Hmmm? Like you said, WTF. So, what about Pac-Morales?

I was hoping Vargas would be favored, I like Mosley at even money or better but I'm not laying 2-1

The over at even money was the most solid play in the Pac-Mor rematch imo, but its now at -170. When Morales opened at +100 I had to grab it, I think he will bounce back strong, he has something to prove just like last time. But Pac is very good and extremely busy, so it wouldn't surprise me if he won a very close decision. I don't see either guy getting stopped here, so barring any cuts, the over looks solid.

freddie roach has been belaboring the glove issue....and i realize that that`s a bit of a cop out....

has anybody seen anything in which paquaio indicates how he`s gonna approach this bout?...is he going to be aggressive?...or try and following a zahir raheem gameplan(which would be stupid because pac and raheem are entirely different style-wise).....

the size is an issue.....

watched the repaly of famoso hernandez/morales fight last night...and by being aggressive, relatively light punching famoso cut eric up a bit...but famoso is naturally much bigger than pacquaio....but,not nearly as fast.....and doesn`t have manny`s snap on his shots....

it`s entirely possible that pacquaio is just fighting at to high a weight...i see box`s point regarding the weight....eric`s much bigger...

as these guys go higher and higher, bigger guys handle their power...

pacquaio`s chance here...his only chnace,imo....is to attack...regardless of the size...ala the marquez and barrera fights......get out to a lead...and hope morales doesn`t pick it up...it`s no coincidence that he was successful in those fights by starting fast...

barrera did this to morales in their last fight......and with raheem...it was partially size, athleticism and possibly morales not being focused..

pacquaio fought relatively strategically in the first fight...stood outside...and morales picked him apart...

now i`m reading that morales may have trouble with the weight....???...is morales ...maybe...hitting the wall a little?...alot of awfully difficult fights...he actually took quite a bit of punishment vs hernandez................................

its very sad when you have mosley at 34...a welterweight with a super middleweight head...basically nowhere near what he was.....fighting a 28 year old(just turned 28 in december) ,bigger vargas...who has taken time out of his career to rejuvenate himself.....and flush the roids out of his system..

and it`s still a tough call...tells you something about how far vargas has slipped...and how ridiculous it is that his new trainer is trying to turn him into willie pep...

do what you do best....you took trindad`s best for 11 rounds....dlh`s for 10 until your steroid-ridden ass collapsed from the excess muscle-weight....

i think he could impose his will on mosely if he trained hard...and set down on his shots....

mosely can`t throw combos anymore...and he`s "never" stopped anyone above welterweight...

style-wise,the fact that mosley hung with winky is no big surprise...winky`s not a puncher...he hit trinidad 1,000 times and never really hurt him...

btw...corrales pulls out of the castillo fight.....smart move,imo...

some factors that favor the Pac Man...

Morales is coming down in weight for this bout

last time Pac was fighting his first fight at Super Featherweight

if he can avoid getting cut, he should be more effective

he gets to wear Reyes gloves -- whether or not these gloves provide any tangible difference, they will give Pac a psychological boost

he's conditioned to brawl

GW mentioned this...he starts fast. If he can establish the power early and commit to the body (where he hurt Morales last time), he can dictate the pace

in any case, I'm not convinced that Pac wins this one on the cards. I do think this fight will be more of a brawl, so I'm betting on a stoppage

under 11.5 +160

i hear you,jab.....

i know i`m probably throwing money down a rat hole..i really expect this to go 12.....but i touched manny inside the distance at around +4-1....as a small hedge on my small morales bet at +money....

with the gloves...the lefty/righty aspect(and potential for another headbutt)....and both guys showing the proclivity to cut in some tougher fights...

i`d think that manny will be lunging in again.....that big head coming up into morales` face....those odds are quite high...

hell...at +380,you could get away with playing eric inside the distance small,too...

but, morales never seems to stop competitive guys anymore...maybe it`s the size...or his penchant to be more of a counter puncher....

i don`t expect a clean k.o...won`t happen....but somebody could get beat up and/or cut...

i`d think it`ll go 12...but at those odds,it`ll be fun to have something going...`

i did hear from a friend at the press conference....he said that manny wouldn`t meet morales eye to eye....wouldn`t return his stare.....

does that mean anything?....probably not...

That "no stare" photo was at one of the websites. Kind of surprised me, but maybe I like it. I don't see it as a sign of fear; I just think Pac-man will do his eyeballing in the ring.

another thing about the gloves...

Morales favors the padded (pillow) variety because he has some monster knuckles, having broken his hands in fights.

The Reyes gloves are much tougher and more likely to cause a cut, which could be another reason for a stoppage
