On the course!
As I stated earlier, I decided to pass on TV and the computer for a week. I must admit, that it was far more dificult than I would have thought.

I often bitch about "nothing to watch" on TV, but man........I sure longed for any old crap, after a few days! I was amazed at how badly I needed that fix! (Summer provides a little more opportunity to busy ones self, here in the heimal regions of the mid west!)

The thing that I missed the most, though, was the internet! WOW! I never realized how much of my time was spent surfing for information, looking at sites, or just "walking around".........I suppose it is sad commentary on my lifestyle, but I do so love the internet!

I missed Mad Jack's, but not as much as if I was still wagering. I would have loved to fanned the flames over the Andrea Yates thing, but I missed out. Such is life.

At any rate, I pose this question to my fellow "Jack'ers":

How big a part of your life is the TV/Net, and would you go a week with neither?

I was recently out of the country on a medical mission trip for 2 weeks. I found that I did not miss tv or the computer. I missed ice cold water, air conditioning, electricity in general, and the radio. About halfway through my trip, I thought to myself, "I can't believe I'm not missing TV or the 'puter!" I guess when you are busy enough doing other things, it really doesn't bother you. I think that much of my time spent watching tv and using the computer is habitual and a product of boredom.
