Did you hear how many soldiers died today? What about all of the innocent people that
the soldiers have killed today? It?s so horrible what they are doing over there! Let?s bring the
troops home! Damn it! Blame the President, blame the soldiers, and blame anybody but me!
Someone has to be blamed for this!
I love that attitude. It?s so angry, alive, and ignorant. The American people: God bless
every last one of them, because they need it. First off, I truly feel bad for every family member
who has lost a soldier in Iraq. And it is a tragedy every time an innocent local is injured or
killed. How many of those complaining Americans have been here for it. And how many of
them have raised their voices when innocent Americans die. You know, everyday in the states.
Did you know that more Americans die in one major city a month than the entire country of Iraq
for that same month? ?Well, uh, uhh, I never thought about it.? F*cking open your eyes. More
Americans get killed everyday in the states from gunshots than soldiers die in Iraq. Who?s
crying for them, only their families and loved ones. What about the innocent children that die
everyday in America from gangs wars, child abuse, and car accidents? Don?t buckle in your
kid and you?re the baby killer. ?Don?t say that word!? It?s okay to yell at the soldiers and pick
on them for going to a foreign country, but damn it if they say something back. My fellow
soldiers and myself fight for your freedom of ignorance.
And you think American soldiers are killing innocent people? What about the man that
was previously in charge of this country? He not only killed his own people without hesitation,
but he would have loved to come to your home to do the same. In fact, he helped people that
tried to do just that. Call them insurgents, call them terrorists, and call them bad guys if you
have to. Heads up America, a lot of countries would like to see us fail and die. And not the
soldier either, they want to mess with the average American. Was the attack on 9/11 a military
attack? No, it was an attack by non-military personnel on the average non-military American.
Those weren?t planes full of soldiers. They were full of civilians and they hit buildings full of
civilians. Figure that one out and get back to me.
And blame the President for not sending the right equipment! Get a clue people. The
threat of improvised explosive devices (IED) was not around at the beginning of the war.
American soldiers fought Iraqi soldiers and won. When the war was over and reconstruction
began in Iraq, then the insurgents came about with RPG attacks and IEDs. Once this new
threat appeared, our leaders, the President included, began sending us more and more armored
trucks. A new threat meant new equipment. They weren?t holding onto the ?good stuff? from
the soldiers. And why blame the President for a shortage of trucks. The trucks were ordered
long before the media figured out a new juicy story to attack President Bush with. The shortage
didn?t come from his desk. He doesn?t build our equipment. Try asking the company that
makes our trucks why we don?t have more. Grab a wrench and build me one yourself, instead
of sitting on your couch and pointing fingers. During WWII, American companies picked up on
the equipment shortage and lent their shops to building more supplies. One day a factory is
pushing out sewing machines, the next day rifles for the soldiers. Yet the average American
today thinks his opinion is enough to change things. Save your breath. Move to Canada; just
leave me alone with your bitching. It?s f*cking worthless, so save it.
If American soldiers are killing so many innocent people, how come the children
approach me in the streets with smiles and a big thumbs up? Why are the Iraqi people
becoming more and more friendly with American soldiers? Maybe? just possibly? I know
it?s a stretch, but maybe we aren?t killing innocent people. Were those grenades I threw at the
Iraqi children today? No they were toys that my family and friends send. My support from home
includes boxes of toys and dolls to hand out to the children. And I?m special by no
means. I?ve seen soldiers from every branch of service, and from many different countries
handing out toys, food, and water to the locals. We do it often. I?ve even seen Black Hawk
helicopters fly low enough to kick out soccer balls into schoolyards and neighborhoods. The
children try their best to say thank you in English and their eyes light up when we respond with
?your welcome? in Arabic. This is the war I fight. I patrol the Western Baghdad area of Iraq
on a daily basis. I?ve been shot at. I?ve had bombs go off on my convoys and RPG?s shot at
my truck. It is unfortunate, but to look at the improvements on the average street, it is worth all
of the trouble.
These people are learning a freedom that Americans have had for many years and have
never understood. They feel blessed at the opportunity to vote, while the average American
finds it a burden. They are joyful when receiving bottles of water, while Americans want more
and only the expensive stuff. So tell me where is the justice in blaming our government for
anything. What are the soldiers guilty of? It?s the American people who are the guilty ones.
They are guilty of ignorance of their own freedom. They are guilty of abuse against themselves
for worrying about things that don?t really matter all that much. And they are guilty of pointing
the finger in the wrong direction.
So now just get back in your BMW and go for a drive. Turn your music up real loud
and let the complaints begin. Bitch about me all you want. It must be really hard on you for me
to be deployed. You probably feel really bad for the soldiers here. Keeping you safe, keeping
your prices low, and keeping you in the freedoms you mourn. So just continue to judge the
things you don?t understand. It?s okay, because I give you that right. My uniform, my weapon,
and my armored truck give you the right to bitch about me. Yet I?m fine with that. But when I
come home to enjoy my freedoms, keep your opinion to yourself and let me be. I don?t need to
be harassed. I don?t need your opinion. And in the years to come, if your children and
grandchildren are speaking English you can put a flower on my grave and tell me thanks.
America complains about our unemployment rate. Why is the military having trouble
getting recruiting numbers then? Do you know how many civilian jobs Iraqis and Pacific
Islanders are filling on American bases in Iraq? The unemployed Americans should be taking
up the opportunity to come here and serve. The experience would be unbelievable and the pay
is out of the roof. Firefighters and Cops are making around a hundred grand a year to start.
Don?t believe? Check it out online. Good old Google has the answers. Think about the
opportunity for the average American to come and work with the military. They would finally
see how we live, and appreciate the freedoms they have in America. Jobs here include:
construction, cleaning crews, cashiers, firefighters, gym staff, food servers, etc. If it?s a job in
America, there is a good chance that it is a job here in Iraq. America should be demanding
these jobs for our unemployed and under paid hard working people. American pride alone
should be enough for the average citizen to want to be a part of the birth of freedom, in and out
of uniform. Oh, and Americans earning American dollars would help our economy a lot better
than sending your tax dollars to foreign countries. And to think people want to blame President
Bush for the economy. Blame yourselves for not being a part of history, freedom, and the American dream.
