Looks like we're getting this choo choo train rolling a bit now. See if we can keep it going, but the matches get tougher and tougher to call.

Here goes:

ROBREDO -220: I've been very close to fading Wawrinko in the earlier rounds, luckily I didn't bite. Taking a nice bite this time. Robredo has a better record, big play experience edge, and he's on his game.

MAlLISSE -268 : Pretty much the same as above. Not sure, but I think Novak may have had to qualify to get in? Whatever, the case he's overachieved enough and Malisse just has too much game for him.

Berdych -139: Much more all-around game than Turs. who reliies too much on his big serve. Berdych has much more than a big serves. Nice match to watch cause the ball will be-a-flying in this one.

MOYA +192: Experience a plenty. Blake stumbles from time to time and Moya will give him all the opportunity to do so in this one. Moya knows that his days are numbered as a top player and appears to be giving it all in this tourney, like Agassi sorta.

Haas -175: Hard to pass up these odds on this TOP NOTCH player. Don't see Ginepri in the same class as Haas.

Gaudio -172: This one is a joke. The laugh is on the bookmaker.

Verdasco +550: Tiny play here - we're HOPING that he can rain a bit on Roddick's parade. IF Roddick notices it - it will likely turn into a downpour.

IVANOVIC +120: She is just fine in my book ($$). Gotta admit that Serena looks sooo much better than she did in her previous tourney but Ivan. can run her a bit more than her previous oponents did. You know how trucks go up steep hills doncha?

Good luck with these.

I just went with the Gaudio play. Every time I start doing crazy parlays and round robins I get punished. I parlay to lessen the odds of course, but when you say it's getting harder as it moves along, I look for what sounds to me to be the more solid action. Thanks for your continued efforts Jimboski.

You're welcome, Frank.

I like to make a few combos with favorites, just two teamers. Sometimes, I'll add a baseBawler or, ESP. now, a college football pick to make it a threesome. Heck, I'll have to pay your thread a visit and add a good boxing pick. I've hit SIX- teamers in the past (3 of the plays were tennis picks). Them things can really turn a regular day into a PayDay. But, my advice is not to play a tennis DOG in a parlay - they're definitely single plays. It's OK to putem with a single favorite in a two teamer but ONLY if you already played the dog as a single play.

Think Gaudio is probably the best play, he's looking very good lately. Glad you picked that one.

Good luck this weekend.

Forgot to add this play to the list:

Mary Pierce -155: She can overpower Li and Pierce's accuracy is superb. She isn't the fleetest of foot,, but Li will be doing most of the moving out there tonight IF the dang rain stops.

BTW, I edited my previous post to just clarify what the hell I was trying to "say" about Dogs n Parlays.

The price on Gaudio has plummeted to -130!!!! What gives? As I said, I don't know jack about tennis, but I do know that there are times when line movement is trying to tell us something. Not always, of course, as it ain't that easy. Is there any cause for concern?

I just got some more of Gaudio (put him with Pierce). I was going to play him straight but I don't like that line movement so I put down less to collect more . Lose less if they're right and win more if they're wrong.

These things can even out - f'rinstance, got much better odds yesterday on Robredo than where he's at today. I could go and put more on him now cause the line move LOOKS positve. But, I'm not into line movements, especially for tennis which isn't heavily bet on like, say - football.

The negative side of this is that it could be inside info. and usually it's physical, the positve is that it's bullcrap and a little windfall for us. This happened with one of my first round plays (think it's posted somewhere around here) - and I WON, so ya gotta just sit tight and see what happens.

Here's a tip (well, let's just call it and IDEA) make a "less than normal' play when you first decide to play whoever you like. Then, just before game time, put a little more down depending on what you think about how the odds moved.

Enjoy the action cause there sho is plenty of it all over the dang places.

that look changed to determination as verdasco blew an easy volley, a gimme overhead and then double faulted at match point. never seen roddick hustle so much. verdasco kept running around his backhand and hitting flat forehands down the line into the higher part of the net. he did serve about 75 percent 1st serves and that almost won for him.

EEEeeeew... CLOSE, but no cee gar. Thought we/me got him.

Yep, I agree Lowell. Don't think that double fault by Verdasco meant anything at that point, Roddick had him. I do think the serves is what really did it for Roddick. Think his nerves would have beaten him if Verdasco could have returned those rocket serves - once the ball is in play the pressure gets to Roddick. But I'm really impressed and a bit surprised he really lifted his game in that final set. No backing off my prediction about him NOT winning this tourney, even if the Fed Man isn't facing him. Of course, that's IF Roddick gets to the final.

Got a 4th round play already. Just hope the odds aren't too stiff. Wish Verdasco would have won because the odds will be even lower for the U.S. fan favorite - Roddick. Going a little HEAVY on this play as long as the odds aren't prohibitive which probably won't be the case:

RODDICK beats Becker: Considering that Agassi could barely walk let alone play, Becker sure as hell looked pretty shabby beating him. He's going to be facing a fit player (doesn't matter if it was Rod. or Verdasco) and Becker doesn't have the game to even compete against either. This play looks quite EASY from here.
