First, LeBron was invited to the NBA all star festivities as Kobe Bryant's guest and now, on Wednesday, Feb. 21...Shaquille O'Neal shows up in Canton, OH to witness "The Chosen One" in person. Shaq had this to say to the Akron Beacon Journal...
The kid is great. He deserves all the rankings he gets....He is better than most college players. He could play in the NBA but I think another year here will do him and his body well....He's very talented.
The game (as all of St. V's are) was already sold out, but when people heard that Shaq was coming, scalpers were making some $.
James finished the game with 33 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in a 77-66 victory over Cleveland's Orange High School.
**This game came on the heels of LeBron being Sports Illustrated's cover boy...also, St. V was coming off a 2 game losing streak.**
Akron St. Vincent St. Mary is 16-3. Their 3 losses are to Amityville, (NY)...Oak Hill Academy(Va) and George Jr. Republic PA (OT)
Could you imagine being an 11th grader, knowing that Shaq has come to watch your game!?
