(On day 23)

I found out that my body pH was acidic - showing a 5.75 to a 6.

Neutral is 7 and slightly alkaline (7.25) is preferable according to people I speak with.

So,

I bought a gear juicer and have been juicing every morning for the past 23 days.

3 cups Kale
2 stalks of celery
1/2 cucumber
1/2 lemon

makes about 6 ounces.

I feel great and my body pH is now at 7.25. I added 1/2 an apple today so that the juice was less basic.

Day 5 was tough and I felt like total crap.

This is not a strictly juice diet as I eat normally for lunch and dinner. However, I have lost about 7 pounds (from 185 to178) and I find that I am less hungry.

I use a similar blend, but include apple and a touch of ginger. The ginger can overpower, so use sparingly.

Yes - I sometimes make soft boiled eggs in the morning and this juice goes well with it.

Thanks - I actually have some ginger root and I was thinking about adding some. I'll start with a little.
