Does anyone like a Forrest bet in this fight?
You can currently get about 9:2 on him.
Mosley is my favorite fighter. First because of his fighting (goes SP and Othodox. Fights going forward, backward and side-to-side. throws a lot, *takes* a lot. in a word: entertainer), and second because of his personality. He's not one to take a guy lightly, especially the man who beat him in the Olympics. He is 35-0 (32, or a staggering 91%). How can you possibly bet against him, crazy man?
Well, a bet on Forrest is a bet on an undefeated fighter (31-0) who has already beat Sugar Shane (that means 99.99% of nothing, if not nothing). Further, all of Shane's fights give me fits because he is a "high-risk high-reward" type of guy. He does get hit, and Saturday he'll get hit by a guy with 25 KO's (81%). The party line is that Forrest can't win but he can give Mosley a lot of trouble. If he can give Mosley a lot of trouble, then he has a *chance* of giving him a lot of trouble. Forrest is taller and with a good plan could outpoint Mosley, though it would have to be pretty convincing to take the belt from Mosley on a decision.
Here's one unit on Forrest, but if you told me you were laying the 1:6 on Mosley, I wouldn't think you were nutty.
