NOTES: Well, if this isn't the most telling line of the entire season, I do not know what is. I really wanted to open this game around 11 or 12, and hopefully get some fairly even action and some of the big money on the 76ers, but unfortunately, I had to keep up with the rest of the world and tip my hand so to speak. The Knicks are getting seriously over valued, and everyone is betting against them...except the bettors who matter. There is a time when a line falls in an area where it can go, either way, and then is a time when a line is so far above or below the average expectation, it gets a ton of bets because the line is simply "too goo to pass up" or "too good to be true". As usually the case, it isn't and the team the house needs on the extreme comes through and wins. The Knicks are 16 games below .500, and only 8 wins better than Philadelphia on paper. The Clippers, who have arguably one of the biggest home floor advantages in the league, were favored the same amount over the 76ers as the Knicks. The Thunder who are the best team in basketball, and an average of -15 in major power ranking polls, 12 points better than New York were favored over the 76ers by 20 1/2, only 5 more than today. The Knicks have a huge price, but I don't believe any price is big enough against the 76ers. They are on pace to complete the worst bad beat in history of sports (in my opinion) by finishing a season 2-40 to stay under their season win total by 1 win, as they will be heavy underdogs the rest of the season, even at home to Orlando or Sacramento. This team is terrible, the Knicks aren't good either, but this should be a blowout. Huge public dog here where all the influential money is on one side of the tee-ter-totter while all the other "too good to be true money" is on the other side. Knicks should get the win by 20 plus.
