Most Overrated Team this year?

Who's rated highly this year that you think will just implode at year's end? UCLA is a good candidate every year, but they aren't particularly highly ranked this season.

My picks for most overrated team:
1. Pittsburgh
2. LSU
3. Duke
4. Texas
5. Maryland

Steve Blake is hands down the most overrated player
Mike Montgomery is most overrated coach

What is the reasoning for Pitt and Texas.

Make that LSU as well...they aren't even in the Top 25, got one vote, but might be at the end of the season.

took his think boys to final four, has had team in thick of it for years in pac-10 ... they are missing PG and teyo right now as well as losing 2 to NBA early ...

i watched one of his practices and it was extremely impressive, ive coached for 25 years, Montgomery isnt my fave coach, but he certainly is a fine one

Indiana, they were lucky last year and lost Jefferies and two role players. Newton is not as good as he showed in tourney. Duke if you recall was beating the shit out of them in 2nd round till they let up . Then Jay Williams can't make a GD free throw to save his ass. #2 draft pick my ass. Sorry still pissed off about the tourney last year. :thefinger IU POTFH

Imagine a boilermaker fan complaining about Indiana being overrated! Newton will have a very good year. Leach will be tough inside, and mark my WORD Bracey Wright and Marshall Strickland are for real as Freshmen. Those two coupled with Coverdale (a hard nosed give you 100 percent effort every night player), Hornsby (can shoot the day lights out of it from behind the arc) and Moye (Gritty banger who can score) Indiana will be just fine (probably underrated if anything as they are in the bottom 5 of the top 25). But IU thrives on being over looked and underrated. Boilermaker...Are you willing to make a little fun wager on who will win the only game they play against each other this year as well as which of the teams finish higher in the Big Ten Standings? Can you believe that Indiana vs. Purdue was not on the schedule this year? Both teams had to agree to play each other in a game that will be played at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indy and the outcome will not count in the Big Ten Standings? NUTS! I hate that Big Rivals are effected by scheduling with additions of new teams in a conference......

Just my thoughts!

I personally would always rather be "lucky" then good.....especially in the NCAA Tourn!!!

As an Indiana alum, I just wanted to say....well stated Home Wrecker... This years team features great guards...the addition of Wright and Strickland adds athleticism to the backcourt to go along with the play of Horsnby and Coverdale. The guy that needs to step in with some solid minutes and help inside is Sean Kline...if he turns into a role type player like Jared Odle was, and takes some of the pressure off of the guards and Newton/Leach combo, IU could be a force again this year. As for Purdue, they can't compete with the Hoosiers anymore in hoops...they should concentrate of football...IU is the school in the state of hoops for hoops!!!

Like I always say, IU hoops and ND foots....doesn't get any better than that!!!!
