Was suppose to be out of here forever in movies props but since i have stopped posting my plays, i kept winning!!! :scared Last week won 8 units with The Holiday (UNDER) and Apocalypto (OVER) so i just hope i wont jinx myself...


ERAGON OVER 23M -180 (2 units) and at -140 (2 units)
should make 22-26M according to my tracking so love a 23M opening line... ;)

I dunno, the reviews aren't too good....I'm gonna take a stab at this, and play Charlottes web over....Happy Feet has plateaued now and there's room on the market for a classic family movie. polar express and lemony snicket each made more than this number in their opening weeks, and this should have more appeal for parents than those.

seems the major media isn't being shown eragon until thursday.......that's not a good sign IMO :shrug:

Charlotte Web marketing have been awful (havent seen a single preview on tv yet!) and the presale tickets are awfully low. 23M seems to be right on or even lower. Eragon presale tickets shows in will do in the low or mid 20's... I will wait later on with the last data i can get (thursday evening) before betting on the other 2 movies.

Might wont even make 20M i think! :scared Presale for Friday are AWFUL!!! I know kids will go to see it saturday and sunday but dont you think they might wait until christmas holiday instead as there is school for another week? I think Paramount did a mistake by not waiting another week...

I have to revise my projectionns for Charlotte's web, presale got a huge boost. Careful about the line you get, i foresee 22-24M weekend. Hopefully for me, an UNDER 23M... :)

and UNDER 18M +180 (2 units) Pinnacle

According to presale, it looks like a 16-18M weekend!

For anyone interested as it is a BIG weekend in movies, i will write a short updated on how sales are going today, before tomorrow's numbers.

So far, it looks like we might win with Eragon (Very high sales so far) and Charlotte's pick (looks like a bomb today, very low sales) but lose with Pursuit (2nd right now to Eragon). Still pretty happy about how it goes! :)

Early report from yesterday showed Pursuit at 9M while Eragon is just below 9M. Charlotte's far away at 4-5M. Before having the real estimates ( in 3 hours or so) we can already confirm that Pursuit is going WAY OVER 19M (loss) Charlotte's WAY UNDER 23M (win) and our biggest bet Eragon will be around 22-23M :scared Lower mutliplier for Eragon because of the bad critics and frontloaded so it is gonna real close... :scared Still waiting the estimates to give me hope! :mj09:

Friday estimates:

Pursuit: 9.2M
Eragon: 8.6M
Charlotte: 3.4M

About our bets now...

Sure winner: Charlotte's web UNDER
Sure loser: Pursuit UNDER 18 and 19M
Still unsure: Our biggest bet on Eragon :scared

If i am very conservative, Eragon will only gross 21M but if it wasnt as front loaded as expected yesterday and WOM dont affect today and tomorrow entries then it can go up to 24M. Man this one will be freakiing close!!!! :scared C'mon people go to the movies today! ;)
