I expect that movie to open between 38-42M so probably a losing bet but at +300....:scared I am taking a chance. That line wont stay long as i expect Pinnacle to raise the bar to 40M. Everything over 40M will be bet UNDER on my side... Pre-sale arent big so far, surprisingly... :shrug: It is Rated R wont help either... Will see how the line is moving and will add few plays later on...

I might lose a lot this weekend as i am playing against "Joe Public" who is putting that line that high but the payout would be much better than what i've layed if the UNDER hits! :00hour I'm taking a risk but a calculate risk....

I guess i am the only one who thinks that numbers are way too high!!! :shrug: Theater count were suppose to be around 3400 but what i have just learned is it will go on 3103 theaters! Even with a HUGE PTA of 12500$ (Like Ghost Rider did) it cant gross more than 38.8M. That movie is rated R while Ghost Rider wasnt... I really dont see it doing the same PTA than Ghost and because the theater counts is lower than expected, i really like all of my bets! Might be wrong but..... boy i wish i'm right as most of my bets are on the ++ side! :SIB

buzz is massive and the midnights are doing very well.

imo it should fly over 50 providing its not extremely frontloaded.

I bid you well on this one.... but it will be close. It is the only 'real' movie opening up this weekend..., a Frank Miller comic...and it is an IMAX exclusive. hmh

Ouch.... :sadwave: It has started only a few hours ago but i already know i'm done...

The midnight showing made a killing and beat what Batman Begins did. If the buzz keeps on going then it will go over 50M for sure... :scared That hurts for sure...


I had lots of reasons thinking it would go under as it is rated R so the teens who likes bloodbath cant see it and women didnt seem appeal by blood bath movie... Fans of that kind of movies are men in the 20-40 but it isnt enough to bring it to a big opening. Finally theater counts is low at 3103 while some were thinking it would be in 3400+ theaters. IF it is frontloaded i still have a slim chance for an under 45M but the buzz is on and it doesnt look like it will stop.... guess i will have to take back those losses in the long run.... :shrug:

That number is INSANE!!! 300 will make at leat 65M this weekend!!! :scared Oh boy how wrong i was there....
