Forgot to mention, I here they're going to count the Wednesday night showings for Thursday's gross since the movie will end basically in Thursday after midnight.

I know, it should make around 35M-40M on Thursday then for a totla around 125-135M for the 4 days so at 135M i like it but much less... That 2.5M difference might become HUGE when the real numbers will come out monday afternoon... (Let's say you can play it UNDER for 3-4 units or wait if it goes at + something.. now at -130 i think ...)

Theater counts for Matrix Reloaded: 3603

It's LESS than X2!!!!! With the R rating and the line keep coming down (Now at 130M at WSEX ;) :D ) I think our bet is quite strong!!!!! However, if it keeps going down(like 120-125M) i might edge it on the over!

any other books taking action?

any other books taking action?

I agree this film will definitely go under $135MM -- especially with the R rating.

Do you know of any other online sportsbooks that are accepting bets on the Matrix? For some reason, I can't deposit to WSEX via credit card and can't deposit to Net teller.

opening day estimate is $42.5 million for Matrix. Looks like they did count Wednesday's so-called "sneak previews". I stayed away from the 3-day and 4-day under lines as soon as I learned of their plan to count wed's night gross. The over for the 4-day could very well be coming. But good luck 1837;)

thanks for the info 1837.

I wasn't able to make the bet, but I'm thinking now that it was probably a good thing.

While the film opened at 3,603 theaters, it is playing on a record 8,517 screens.

looks like this could do $150 million by Monday...but I'm hoping you hit the under.

Tony Steams: Why in the world would you not post on the board that they are counting Wednesday nights money instead of getting on the board and acting like you are smarter than everyone else for laying off it after seeing some numbers from day one. This board is about helping others not acting like a bigshot if you make a good call.

Royalfan, I'm not acting like a bigshot nor am I bashing 1837 for making the over $135 call. He has been consistent in movie props as they come. If you would've scrolled up and read my post you'd see that I clearly mentioned the info of Wednesday night's earnings counting towards thursday's gross.
