Guys:

My wife has just signed us up for Netflix....turns out it's a great service. Problem is, in her "Queue" is an load of rubbish such as "Sex And The City" etc. You get the picture.

So, I need ideas for great movies so I can get in this "Queue", so what do you all suggest? Obviously I love all gambling and mob movies, but tell me your favorites and briefly why.

My suggestion to you guys is "Boost" with James Woods and Sean Young. Almost unknown, but it is a classic about drugs and ambition.

The dog days of winter are dragging here in the NE and I could really use a couple of great movies.

Thanks.

Recently signed up for them myself. Collateral was one I rented of recent movies and I would recommend it. Heist is really good also. Did you do the 3 or 7 out at a time option?

I highly recommend "SAW" Its def. the best new release out right now. I didn't give it a chance in theaters but its def. worth seeing.

Now don't watch this movie with your wife, but its a VERY good movie. Little gory but very well done.

As for some of my favorites.

My all time favorite sports movie is:
PRIDE OF THE YANKEES. About Lou Gerig and is awesome movie. Wife prob. like it too. Many sports fans have not seen this classic. Hoosiers is close 2nd.

All time favorite action movie is:
DIE HARD with Bruce Willis. You prob. seen it but if you have not go rent it NOW! Predator with Arnold is close 2nd.

All time favorite court movie is:
FEW GOOD MEN with Cruise. Great movie. Primal Fear comes close 2nd (great acting).

All time favorite Epic is:
Braveheart with Gibson and Gladiator close 2nd. You prob. seen these 2 but if you have not, GO RENT THEM NOW!

All time favorite prison movie is:
Shawshank Redemption

I could go on and on..........

I have the blockbuster online deal. Its only $14.99 a month with 3 movies at a time. They also give you 2 free in store blockbuster rentals. So if I don't want to wait for the mail to come or want to see movie right now, I have the 2 coupons. They give the 2 free rental coupons every month. I think its better deal than Netflix although I never tried netflix.

JT:

We did the 3 at a time option, don't normally get a lot of time to watch, but the recent cold weather has meant the golf season seems as far away as ever.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll try "Saw", never heard of it but if it's gory, how bad can it be?

We are doing three out at a time. We live about 25 min from a distrubtion center for netflix which is the reason why I will stay with them.

I can drop it off at the main post office downtown and it is received the next day and new ones shipped that same day.

Here is where we started on our movies

SAW is on our list also.

Replacements, Remember the titans are good movies

Went with Blockbuster. 1st month 9.95 unliminted movies. 14.95 after that. I have a DVD burner and I burn them as fast as they come in, then send them back and get more...I should be able to get 15-20 the first month....plus the free ones from the online coupons.

I couldn't possibly watch them that fast but once they're copied I can watch them at my leisure.

Watta' country...

Yeah I heard Shield isi great show. I just finished watching 1st season 24 and loved it. After I am done with seasons 2 & 3 of 24, I plan on watching season 1 of Shield. For some reason I never watched these shows. I guess the reality shows took my attention. Good news is I get to watch them now with no commercials and at my convenience. :)

Currently have Miami Vice Season One in my queue and each disc has only 3 shows on them so if you plan on renting alot of tv shows then perhaps 7 at a time would be better.
