I said a little nasty. The whole thing just seemed to change direction and get going no place. But you or who ever said it is right about one thing. Seems more like a bet then not one. However none of my GD business and I should have stayed out of the first go around on the subject. I offered not much in any productive info anyway. So I deserved that flash back.

DJV,

You're absolutely right. It *did* change direction and at that point is *was* going nowhere. That's why, in the 'Wiz' thread, I posted that I thought Jack was justified in closing it. At that point, there wasn't going to be any more discussion about the original subject.

It's not at all that you should have stayed out of it, but I was a bit surprised that you thought that I got nasty (or even a little). I didn't. I could have, but I didn't. That's all that I was trying to say.

You're one of the good guys around here who usually has a keen perception and I just didn't understand that comment. I can take the heat, but I wasn't the least bit 'nasty'.

Take care man,

Matt

Not to beat a dead horse, but I reread the NYC party thread several times and each time I came to the same conclusion. Nolan put a bet out on a public forum and it was accepted by Kosar. Plain and simple. I had even asked a few of my employees to give there opinion and it was unanimous, There was indeed a bet! Seems to me that Nolan SHOULD honor this bet. I know one thing for sure and that's if Kosar would have lost, Nolan would be sitting with an extra 500 beans in his wallet. Anyone who knows Kosar, knows this is a fact. Nolan, the ball is in your court and it's your integrity on the line. I know what I would do if I was Nolan!

I brought the NYC thread to the top yesterday, probably not the right thing to do, but can't change what is done. I did not comment, but figured people should be allowed to draw their own conclusions. The thread has since been archived. For what it is worth, it seemed like a bet to me. As a matter of fact, someone of high authority here used those exact words in the thread.

Phoenix,

Your opinion in your (unedited) post was correct. It was a bet. Thanks for having the huevos to express it. I do understand why you edited it.

I also echo these sentiments. Not a doubt in my mind.

Reminds me of an old Seinfeld episode where Kramer wanted to build "levels" in his apartment and Jerry bet him that they wouldnt be done by the end of the month. Kramer decides to cancel the project and Jerry claims to win the bet because there are no levels......Kramer claims the bet is not valid because he just decided to not build them....Jerry reiterates that THAT is exactly the point of the bet, that there would be NO levels at the end of the month....and back and forth.

Kosar had under 20, Nolan had the over. If Nolan wanted to, like he said, he could have dragged 20 people off the street and won the bet.....but whether the party did or didnt take place (just like the levels lol) the under has to be declared the winning side.

Although if I recall correctly, Kramer didnt pay up.

Well I put this up to say. I took some comments the wromg way. Im never one not willing to say Im wrong when Im wrong. I believe in this case that would be correct. End of subject for me must move on. And thks to everone that add comments here keeping them to the point. I think it maybe best before those who wish to disrupt things show up here. MJ just closes this. The ending of this discussion at least for me seems to have the right conclusion. Good Luck to evereyone.
