Must have walked 10-15 miles/day, but still managed to gain 5 pounds. Really enjoyed the cafe culture, talking to folks from all over. One particular guy, an MD from Iran, now living in Australia, gave me some really different insight to USA history and interactions in the Middle East. He is of the opinion that our politicians are much more clever manipulators of governments and oil supply/demand than we think they are. In his opinion, it is the USA, not OPEC, which controls world oil prices.
