Gruden, unless it falls through. Mullen 2nd choice. Tubbs, Edsall, Harbaugh are other choices.

Met Mullen, his wife Megan, and Diaz last night and shot the shit with them for about 45 minutes... All very nice by the way and very down to earth... Plus I met Houston Nutt and he gave MSU some bulletin board material for next year with the comments he made about Mullen... But anyway they all said they are very happy in Starkville and don't plan on or want to go to Miami... MSU AD Scott Stricklin then affirmed that they are working on new contracts for all of the coaches...

I'm not saying they are for sure staying, but after talking with them for 45 mins I would guess they are...

Yep, Gruden is the man unless it falls apart because of financials. I'm excited to see what he can do on the college level. I think he's going to do very well. IMO his attitude is perfect for college athletes and he should be able to recruit just because of his name and the Us name. I guess the key will be what assistants he is able to hire. When you look back at the years the U was really good, they had awesome assistant coaches.

If Gruden falls through, then expect your guy to relocate to south florida;)

tHIS I KNOW FOR A FACT

Mullens wife wants out of Starkville. She would love to get back to florida so she can get back into TV. but I think MIAMI would take a more experienced tubberville over Mullens. JMO

That's not the impression I got from her... But everyone is entitled to their opinion...

I'm hearing from a lot of sources close to the football program that he is staying...

Again nothing matters until the end.. He might go... He might not go...

Exactly, and I also would like to add that the Mullens' obviously know better than to discuss any negative opinions of their current situ with someone that they just met at a mixer.

Very true... Which is it why I've been saying he could still go... I'm a realist and see things from all sides

Just take it from me she wants out of Starkville so she can get back to what she loved doing and that was golf work on TV.Personnaly i hope he stays but if he is as hot a commodity as some think then MSU cant afford to keep him. They just dont have the resources.
