Anyone know lowdown on why he withdrew? I see he is listed as 10/11 vs Monty @ Sportingbet and unless he step in hole and broke leg I might have to bite. My thinking is if Monty couldn't beat Jack last week-------
Then again Maru is somewhat erratic driver and this course has lots of water---in play!

P.S. The only way I'll excuse Maru to come back this quick after wd last week is if he sneezed and shit his pants on 3rd hole last week.

Found a little on new course setup at Honda.

"They started coming out six to nine months ago," said Don Beattie, Mirasol's director of golf. "They've created new fairway lines about 25 to 28 yards wide and added an additional cut of rough. The intermediate rough is 1 1/2 inches and the primary rough is 3 inches. They also asked us to overseed with rye for more consistency."

Tournament officials have gotten some recent help from the weather. The warmer temperatures last week have helped grass to grow after one of the coldest winters in the last 30 years.

"The course has really sprung up the past week," Beattie said. "If the weather stays beautiful, and it sometimes isn't in March, I think the winning score will be between 16- to 20-under."

Vs. someone that made the cut, but continued.

or

Vs. someone that missed the cut?

Thanks for any input. I assume it's a loss on #1 and a win on #2.

Catdawg I would not judge Monty by last weeks effort as he is capable and has tons of heart.I was just ribbing my Euro mates here as they know with a little humor,however if healthy like Maru vs him at those odds. This course should set up good for Monty being straight off the tee.

I was referring to last week. Would a match-up with Mary be a loss in a match-up where the other golfer also made the cut?... seeing how Mary dopped out... and the same if he was matched up with someone who missed the cut.

Since Maru made cut and other player didn't Maru would be declared winner at most books as having lowest score at equal holes played at cut.

However if player made cut he would be deemed winner as completeing more holes than Maru
