Thought this was interesting email I just got from WillHill
Dear hoehn
I am writing to you because you have an account with William Hill Sportsbook and your registered address indicates that you are resident in the United States.
Due to the continuing uncertainty of the legality of sports wagering over the Internet by U.S. residents, William Hill has decided to stop accepting such wagers with effect from 31st January.
PLEASE NOTE: This decision does not affect U.S. citizens who are resident outside the United States, nor does it affect the William Hill Casinos, which will continue to accept wagers from U.S. residents.
All sportsbook accounts belonging to U.S. residents will be suspended at 05:00 EST on 31st January, from which time deposits will not be able to be made and bets will not be able to be placed. Any bets placed prior to that time will be settled in the normal way. Accounts will, of course, remain open so customers will be able to withdraw any outstanding balances.
Thank you most sincerely for your custom and please accept my apologies for the inconvenience caused by this decision.
Yours sincerely
Jamie Hart
Sportsbook Director
William Hill

The part I fail to understand is they will still take action on their casinos.I am assuming they are willing to forego any risk on a quaranteed cash cow
