I took Jack's advice & took advantage of the MVP 50% bonus last nite. I sent $500 WU and in 20 min. my account registered $750. They reimbursed me for my WU expenses, also. I don't know much about this book, but on Jack's recommendation, am willing to give them a good try. I found the clerks spoke clearly (English) (a big bonus in itself, as I have had to ask for a different clerk to talk to me on numerous occasions from other shops) & seemed knowledgeable. However, the first clerk failed to tell me that I had to call back with my WU control #. I just happened to know I probably had to, which I did. GL to them, me, and anyone else who took them upon their offer. THE HITMAN

I did find my first drawback at MVP.......THEY ROUND OFF IN THEIR FAVOR. There may have been posts concerning this before, I dont know. Anything on the pay side over .00 gets rounded to the next HIGHEST dollar. Hence, a $20 bet at -111 will cost you $23.00 instead of $22.10. Or $11 @-110 is $13 to $11,etc., etc. Small bettors, this will eat you up if you are not attentive.........THE HITMAN

Excellent point Hitman.

Also to my knowledge at least this weekend they posted virtually no, if any at all, halftime NCAAF lines.

The plus side being the $270 in bonus money however :D

I am a member of MVP and they offered me the same bonus however I was unable to send it on the 31st so they extended me until NFL ends the first week. Just ask them I am sure they will accomadate you.

Well, it is Saturday, close to 1:30 PM EST, and I have not been able to place bets at MVP due to "busy or broken server". What good is a bonus if you can't wager it ?? So, I guess the score is a plus one for the bonus and 2 minuses: rounding off and inaccessible site on a Sat.............THE HITMAN

Hitman, I am bullshit this morning. I have had no access to MVP save for one time I was able to get in. When I finally do get to the login page, it takes minutes to get to each succssive page.

While I appreciate Jack getting us these great deals, this is simply INEXCUSABLE for a book to not be techincally prepared.

You guys try calling in your bets to them?? I just opened an account Friday evening and used paypal which went out as an e-check for whatever reason, but when I called them, they were very understandable and said they will still honor the bonus when the funds clear which is supposed to be on the 11th. Earned my respect there. Just curious if you tried calling in your wagers?? I know I always keep the phone numbers of books just in case their sites go down.

NDNFAN...........thanks for your interest. No, I did not try to call in my bets to them. I have other books that I can use, so it was no great disaster. But, I do like a rundown of all the lines from a shop, like I get quickly online........I just don't have the time or patience to call & have a clerk (sometimes peekey Engli & sometimes no peekey Engli) read all the games off to me, then hang up, compare & then call back again. By then , sometimes the lines will have changed and then we start the whole cycle again. Naw........that's just not for me.
Like Ace said.....they should have been prepared.
Thanks for your work in bases this year.........GL..........THE HITMAN

*The reason I was inquiring about an online address was to complain and/or try to get a quick response as to why there is a problem & when it will be fixed.

Well, should have known something was up with MVP still saying they accept PayPal. That echeck did not clear....so no account and no bonus. Maybe it's for the better. My question is "Why do they advertise they still take Paypal if they don't?" Of course, got a phone call from them today as well offering a special 20% bonus  This when they said they would extend the 50% bonus? I don't know.........think I'll just continue to use the books that I don't question at all and that I trust. Just makes you wonder about these bonus deals anyhow and how they can afford offering 50% bonus's anyways.

high bonuses are usually a sing of finantial problems, and they are trying to attract new customers or current ones to get more deposits, and hope the players lose it before it gets rolled over.

books like MVP, with their 50% bonus ($250 max, right?), are looking for the typical recreational bettor that's going to piss it away quick as chit.

no way they offer a 50% bonus without a max or they'd have sharpies depositing 10 dimes or 20 dimes and blowing them away.

mvp, players-sb and v-wager are as solid as they come. but, if you're 'slick' they're not really looking for you to signup.

still a good deal for the small player, i don't care what anybody says. these guys are solid.

Agree Jack.... It's really not that financially substantial with the Max bonus that's allowed plus the rollover terms....was just was having a bad day...no harm intended as I'm sure they are very solid. They Seemed very professional and courteous on the phone. Can always use another book though. Just think I'll just stick with Western Union or try out Netteller. :)
