It's terrible. After 20 years I guess I'm going to have to get a new webhost and that could be a nightmare. I'm so pissed off right now I can't even think. I've been timing how long it takes for a page to open and it's averaging about 1 minute. Unacceptable!

I am sure that you are frustrated with the performance but this even happens to major corporations with huge IT staffs and multi million dollar budgets. I’m not saying that you should or should not switch web hosts but increased resource allocation should not be difficult for your current vendor to accomplish. If they can’t explain the issue and deliver resolution then maybe it is time.

You’ll figure it out. Hang in there.

It seems like it happens on Saturdays and Sundays when there is heavy traffic and the servers cant handle it.

most web hosting companies can add server instances automatically as demand rises - so you shouldn't have to pay to have coverage for the high water mark all the time - only during peak times
