it really looks funny to me that everyone and their mother thinks the Rams are going to blow out the Patriots after two not so impressive wins in the playoffs. I think Brett Favre was on the Rams payroll in the playoff game because he threw it to more Rams players than he did to his teammates while the Ram offense looked pitiful, against the Eagles the Rams looked better on offense but their defense looked suspect against a one dimensional offense. Now New England enters the playoffs with no one even giving them a chance to advance and what do they do they beat the Raiders in the snow I know you'll say they got lucky but a win is a win, then they go into Pittsburgh to play a team that many experts say was the best team in the AFC and demoralize them. I have heard allot of crap talk from the Rams backer that special teams had allot to do with that win but if I am not mistaken aren't special teams part of the team to? and don't they get on the field also. The Patriot defense looked pretty solid to me against a pretty good Pittsburgh team now granted the Rams are not Pittsburgh but they are not invincible and I really think allot of people are not giving this Patriot team a snowballs chance in hell. But I want you to remember a coulple things there are no sure things in proffesional sports after all everyone just as recently as last years World Series everyone was talking just like they are now Arizona might as well not show up as the Yankees were going to take it, well I had Arizona then and I will have the Patriots not only did I take the spread I bet a little bit on them on the money line at +500 I couldn't resist. But you can bet one thing I didn't bet anymore on the Super Bowl than I do on any other game because that is the surest way to the poor house betting it all one game. This is only my opinion and I am in no way saying that St Louis will not cover or win but I will take the points with a team that is getting absolutely no respect at all and playing solid ball and enjoy the game, so good luck in whatever you play and remember this is only my opinion!

me too robert

you just never know what will happen in a football game let alone the superbowl. the Rams can be beat lets face it. If for some reason they get to Warner and he goes down. Oh then theer will be some pasty faced Ram betters ..

I got the points and a play on the moneyline i couldnt resist!

Will not break the bank though if it lose. Lets sit back have a few brews and enjoy the game.

Get yourself into a postion to win, then pull the trigger!

RobertBIrish ,I agree with you on your thinking. Have not seen you post in quite a while. I really enjoyed your computer picks early in the football season.I'm also looking at the under to go along with the Pats and the points. Good Luck

Scott---I ride my mountain bike out in Stone Mountain at a place called Yellow River. There are a ton of people from Atlanta here. Good luck today, unfortunately, we are on different sides of this game.

yeh i know the yellow river , we are on opposite sides. I was going for the Rams all the way until about friday. Everytime in my life when I have thought the sure winner would win. something bad happened. I dont like that feeling. So instead of feeling that way this year at Superbowl, I said to myself, self - This year will be differant, I dont care who wins or loses, I am going to go against my first instinct , not break the bank and enjoy the game.

Good Luck !

No problem Scott you guys talk away LOL ,I am sorry boilermaker but some very serious heart surgery has had me sidelined so I will be back more and more, and I would like to add something else to my original post who has more to lose here I think it is the Rams because no one thinks that the Patriots have a chance so I think they will be very loose and aggresive and Billick is one of the best defensive minds in football !

RobertBIrish---I am sorry too about the use of your thread.

Scott---I hear ya because I was actually on the Pats until yesterday and changed my mind to go with my gut on this game and take the Rams. Have fun watching the game! One of us will have a little more beer money at the end of this one!!
