Top play of the week. Northwestern +16.5
Northwestern quarterback has improved of late against Ohio State despite some bad calls played them real close. Minnesota's defense is overrated Although they covered the spread at home against Toledo and Illinois both of those teams moved the ball quite well against them. Minnesota is your typical Big Ten team mediocre. Look for Northwestern to be able to move the ball through the air and keep it within ten.

Pittsburg +7.5 Very good defensive team that is starting to play very well the qb is improving I see the same type of game they had with Texas A.M. The luck of the Irish will end!

Nevada +10 a much improved team offensively that will be able to match points with Hawaii. Hawaii has also turned the ball over quiet a bit Nevada should be able to score in the mid 30's.

SD St has been able to move the ball all year their big problems have been not getting it in the end zone. Utah has struggled all year offensively and is making a QB change. Utah has not run the ball at all since losing there top running back. This Utah team is very overrated this year. Besides the UCLA game they have played close games all year.

BYU +4.5 Byu always plays the Air Force tough. Last year they put up 63 points against them. Although BYU only won at Utah St by 1 last week they still racked up almost 600 yards. Last weeks game will give us good line value. Byu will win outright.

UNLV -6.5 against New Mexico a true freshman qb will start for New Mexico on the road against UNLV they are also without their leading rusher. UNLV has a very good defense. Unlv has played better lately as they have cut down on the amount of turnovers they have had. As long as Jason Thomas plays within himself they should destroy New Mexico.

Tulsa +25 take the points the Boise defense is weak and they are off that Blue Carpet also they play Fresno State next week. A nice look ahead game. Tulsa does play better at home and the quarterback Gooch has completed 57% of his passes.

Arkansas +6 I know they lost a big 6ot game against Tennessee but the weakness of Cobb at QB is a big one. Auburn has a great defense but they need more than Cadillac. Points will be at a premium I feel this is an overrated Auburn team. They struggled with Syracuse and Vanderbilt. I look for a 16-13 type of game.

Opinions on South Carolina +6.5 depending on Jenkins also looking at Penn St awaiting status of Mills and Johnson.

Good luck to everyone.

I will be taking South Carolina as Jenkins will play and they have been improving as late. They are usually a good dog against the lower tier of the SEC. I feel Kentucky may be a little over rated though they played a close game against Florida. Florida did have a huge yardage edge. Their 3 home wins came against Indiana, Utep, and Middle Tennessee. They did beat Louisville 22-17 in the opener.

Penn st. +5 as Mills will play. Michigan has talent but unfortunately the quarterback Navarre isn't very good in big games. Michigan's kicking game is terrible. I look for a close game with Penn State winning by a field goal.

Purdue -3.5 Purdue is 3-3 but easily could be 6-0. Illinois has struggle on Defense this year. They haven't replaced Kittna at QB and are undecided on who is going to play this week. LSU exposed the defense of Illinois last year in the Sugar Bowl. The only thing that worries me is the special teams of Purdue. I look for Purdue to handle Illinois just like they did Minnesota.

Last game take Florida minus the nine as LSU has major quarterback problems with Mauck who in his only other road game was 8-26. Losing Toefield was a big loss. Last week was a major letdown week for Florida after upsetting Florida. I look for Florida to rebound from their loss last weak as they did hold a potent Ole Miss team to under 200 yards.

Good luck to everyone.

North Canton, Ohio-Viking Country
Nice call on NW, the rest of your plays:

Pitt-Irish have covered nearly all year, the QB situation at ND is up in the air, but Pitt has struggled with the Irish, PASS

Reno-Only bad thing about betting a team at Hawaii, is some of these knuckleheads get out there and think it's a vacation. Reno definitly has the offense to stay within the number

San Diego looks like a good pick, although their defense is terrible.

UNLV-Arkansas pass, although Auburn should be primed with a week off

Tulsa. simple NEVER PLAY A CRAP TEAM, this game is a bad game to bet, your'e relying on Tulsa not to turn the ball over which it has done all year. Dont ask for a miracle

Hawaii
FWIW

Bet against a team the week before the play Hawaii @ Hawaii. So far this year SMU was a loser and last week Nevada also lost. This week is Tulsa. They play Hawaii next week.

More reasoning on Tulsa

More reasoning on Tulsa

Tulsa had an extra week to prepare for this game. Although Boise has blown out some teams of late the statistics have been about even. I see this as a big let down week as they have Fresno State the following week. Tulsa did score 25 against Baylor their last time out and lost by 12. The public will push this line up even more I am hoping to get it at 28! Also road favorites of more than 20 this year are not covering. Good luck with your picks and thanks for the comments its always good to get someelse's point of view on a game.
