honolulu, Hi, USA
Although my heart bleeds Hawaii, I usually pick and choose my spots with them. Tonight, I like them a lot. Hawaii is the surprise team in the WAC but, apparantly this might have gone to their heads as they stunk up the joint at San Jose this past Saturday. They had no business losing that game. Hawaii is in the midst of a 3 game road trip that started last Thursday, 1/17. Rice is a must win game as Tulsa is next up this Saturday. The players know they played rotten and will be focused. They will come out firing on all cylinders. Trust me on this one. Also, Rice's leading scorer is out for the game and their backup center is also out - all due to injuries. Hawaii has a history of struggling on the road but not tonight. Lay the 5 1/2.

hi

hi

I got Rice at +6.5. No matter how bad Rice is or how many injuries they have, Hawaii plays horrible against anyone on the road. If Hawaii plays a good team, they will step it up, and if they play a bad team, they will play to the lame team's level on the road. Hawaii giving 5 or more points on the road to anyone, 90% of the time, I will pick against Hawaii. However, I do think they will come out playing more inspired after losing and it is like a must win for them since everyone knows they won't win when they play in Tulsa this Saturday. Going 0-3 on this road trip will pretty much more than likely eliminate them from getting an at-large bid in the ncaa tourney.

I hope Hawaii wins by exactly 6 points so both of us gets the cover, that would be perfect :)

Hawaii wins by 9. Game was not close as Hawaii substituted freely last 3-4 minutes. However, killer instinct definitely was lacking at the end after they led by 17. Hawaii now 3-1 on the road.

Tulsa is next and this should be a war! Hawaii defeated Tulsa in the WAC championship game last year and I don't think they have forgotten. This re-match was probably circled on Tulsa's calender. Believe Tulsa will be favored by 10-11 pts come Saturday. Points might be the play as I don't see Hawaii being blown out. Winner takes over the top spot in the WAC.

As stated earlier, I usually pick my spots when Hawaii plays and this time I probably will pass even though I feel taking the points is the play.
