With all the bullshit as of late, 300k in action, millionares abound, I feel compelled to tell my story. I grew up in a small michigan town. Extemely poor as my old man left us when I was 11 years old and I never saw him again. Piece of shit.......
I worked on the farm when I was 13, and in the canning factory from the age of 14. Graduated from high school in 1977, and went into the marine corps.
Got out with an honorable discharge in 1981 and worked as a laborer with brick layers as this was my fathers trade, just in time for the birth of my son. I walked my son in a stroller and saw a sign in kaybee toys stating asst. mgr needed. I applied and got the job at a sparkling 7.50 an hour. I worked my way up to mgr at an awesome salary of 300 bucks a week in 6 months.
I went with another company as it was larger and I had an asst. mgr come and tell me that an old man was writing things down on a tablet and they wanted to kick him out, it was "Sam Walton", I told the guy that he was a moran and that he owned walmart. Sam offered me a job and I worked with that company for 16 years before leaving them for the company I am with now. I will not tell you what company I am a general manager with as this is the internet...I am with the most admired retail company as they compensate the most of any other. The point of the story is...........does not matter where you have come from, if you work hard and have a passion for what you do, you can make a great life for yourself, even if you grew up with nothing.:toast:

Nice

Nice

story is true and is inspirational. But the other is not bullshit. You may think it is bullshit, but like your friend Joker, you are both assuming you know the answers with different people on here. The problems with that is you don't know a thing about me, or the others who are beening ridiculed for different circumstances. And by saying it's bullshit without knowing your facts is being judgemental. You told us the truth about you, why is it so hard to believe the numbers some people like myself run. this is a gambling site is it not? Give the same respect you are asking for, and like myself, i would like to thank you for serving your country also. Thank you,

Or a jet

Or my own island

Arrow, I am sorry if you feel assaulted, is not by me. I will tell you one thing, if you care to listen? I bet 10 K on auburn for the game in the iron bowl. I thought I lost the whole game and then I bet another 10k on auburn on the second half and luckly I won both. That was the most I have ever bet on a game. I was misserable during the whole game as I had way too much on a single game. I can not imagine having 300k in action and if I were you would be a pissed off fucker too if I had anyone challenge me on my picks based on that much action. My wife , my dog even left me alone during my moment of insanity. I have Never went in your thread, and I have never followed you because i would never follow so many bets as I know the odds are stacked against you. fwiw............ It is what it is...... I like you and other guys that put it on the line, day after day.

thank you Betone

thank you Betone

i am not offended or fill insulted by you! I appreciate you sharing that with me. I remember that game, and yes that is actually how i have felt! I only shared that info, not to pat myself on my back or ego, but to make some people who attacked me without knowing me that what they were asking me to do was all about time. Even tonight by posting i forgot to bet my san fran in baseball bet for 3 dimes. I was so trying to get the game out to you guys that i forgot to bet it myself. And it's not the first time it has happened. It takes alot of time and although i am mostly free from work, at times i get very busy with other parts of my life. People were acting like i was lying why i was not posting a record after i have'nt for a few years to not spark controversy. People that don't bet that much have no idea. They think it's a game. It is a business. There's nothing funny about it, and i am very serious when being attacked from people who don't know. But thanks again for sharing your story, and good luck to you Betone.
