I usually dont vent that badly when I lose a game...but this game cost me a teaser that I hammered :nooo:
Good fawking Gravy....
I mean I dont even know where to start on this. Throwing for over 500 yards doesnt cut it these days. Miami(OH) needs to get rid of the Def Cord. like tomorrow.
Players may have turned it off when AHEAD by 20 , it is the coaches job to prevent that and they did NOT. I had to stop listening at 48-34. Ahead 27-14 going into the 4th qtr and the MU COACHES HAVE NO ANSWER for a 34-7 run? Come on? the "D" gave up over 3 points a min when they were on the field? Maybe the 1 of the worst losses in history for MU. No game left is a gimmie. This game was won and THEN GIVEN AWAY. Should have been going into UT. Now who knows. How can the team recover from this?
NIU ran the same 3 plays all day:
1) Pitch to RB (20 carries 222 yards, 5 TD's)
2) Out pattern (Dan Sheldon, 6 catches 163 yards 2 TD's)
3) Bomb (Dan Sheldon again....)
....all were successful. NIU QB was made to look like Dan Marino. Scoring drives for NIU consisted of 2 play drives!!!!!!! One long run and one long pass.
Miami looked great and had the game under control until 5:30 left in the 3rd Quarter. Score was 27-7 and Jared P. just missed the extra point....then the wheels fell off.
DB's Sprague, Hodge and Hunter were no match. No deep help from Safeties. Miami is unable to put teams away. It dominated the first half and most of the 3rd Quarter. Had a team with a QB who completes 45% of his passes and who telegraphs every pass he throws, a Team that has one of the top running games down by 3 scores......Terrible performance by the Defense. People may complain about Ben's 3 INT's but my goodness, the offense had the ball for 44 Minutes and scored 41 points!!!!! Ben threw for 500 yards, passed for 4 TD's and ran for a TD!
Look at this stat....
Time of possesion:
Miami 44 minutes
NIU 16 minutes
