Well I am home sans bag but home at least.
Anyway, I saw a post about what happens at golf outings and why people should attend.
As some of you know already due to past attendance, there is more going on than just golf at a golf outing. There are dinners, happy hours, casinos, and just about anything else anyone wants to do as NO suggestion goes ignored. While you may not get a lot of participation in a ceramics class, I will go with you if you really want to do that.
The fun is getting to know some of your fellow madjackers that you have never or would never have the opportunity to meet otherwise. I have yet to meet a single person at one yet that wasn't and isn't a top notch quality person. On Saturday I was paired with Pbabart The Jew and Ga Ben. The Jew doesn't post here as far as I know but he attends the event and is one of the funniest guys in orange and plaid I have ever met. Bart is always golden. It is very hard for even myself to find words to describe someone that I respect, like, and laugh with as much as I do with him. This can be said about every single person that attends these events. You guys really have no idea how good these people are to their core.
As far as Ga Ben goes, we exchanged numbers but he is married so we will have to keep platonic but I definitely have a slight man crush on Ben. (kidding). We rode together for the tourney and were great cart partners, our wheels never had to touch the cart path once unless it was to get to another hole where our shot was out of play at. He flat out knows how to have fun and I can't imagine the guy has a mean bone in his body. We had an absolute gas, all of us did.
Hell, we had golf course employees hanging out at the rolling bar with us after golf, begging us to come back next year.
Josh got hit with a mishit by whatshisnuts and had a serious blood blister, we all laughed.
Joker is the man, he plans much of all of this and is always there to help me get others to their rooms respectively............ On a personal note, thanks for everything AND your honesty and putting my mind at ease Nick. You rock bro.
Skipper and I always have a good time. We are like peas and carrots man. The guy is a frigging hoot.
Dogs that Bark and Joe were there and as usual, always find a way to lighten up the day and make everyone laugh. It wouldn't be a golf outing without them.
Smails is part of the Knoxville crowd but he posts here from time to time. He has a great sense of humor, an easy smile and a real friendliness about him that makes him seem like he has been your friend for years. His buddy Justin is the same way. A class act all the way.
The most interesting man in the world plays golf like he parties and socializes. He is spectacular. Friendly, funny and good at it. I always enjoy seeing him.
Guys like Clint (sixfive) Whatshisnuts, Betone, and Nole are people that I can only aspire to be someday. I cannot say enough good things about these men other than that. They are men in the truest sense of the word. They are without question some of the best guys I personally know.
Rolltide, Josh and Autumn, and of course Jaek are my friends. Real friends and I love them like brothers and sisters. Saturday night when we were all kind of splitting up and heading to bed or whatnot, Roll and I said our see ya's and had a great bro hug. I have no problem telling anyone that I love that guy and consider him one of my best and truest friends. Love you bro.
Josh and Autumn are like my partners in crime. Ever since we met we clicked and I can't imagine not being friends with them. Two awesome people and I am lucky to call them friends.
Jaek is one of my very best friends, he knows I love him. It goes without saying how much I look forward to hanging with him, at least I hope it does. Fucking guy sleeps a bit too late for me though........
Hope this helps,
FDC
