Playing the following undefeated trends this weekend:phila+3(4-0 on grass),under40-Phila/sf(phila five unders in five games on grass),Oak/Tenn over46(Oak all overs in six games at home)GB/Cleve 038(Cleve five overs in five road grass games)Nyg-4(Seattle is 0 for the season on grass in 5 trys. @Cleve they opened @3-)and Dall+3-(after they stunk so bad last weekend some might not care that they're a perfect 3-0 on natural surface this year.)There are a myriad of other reasons for my playing these plays, not just the undefeated season trends. As always, there are reasons to back the other sides, too.I'm playing them straight and parlaying them in a six teamer. Also playing Mia+3 Sat a.m. straight.GL either way

The Eagles are 4-0 on grass, but have given up more yards than they've gained in those games. These four games were against the 6-7 Redskins, the 4-9 Chiefs, the 5-8 Cardinals, and the 6-7 Giants.

The 49ers have lost three games all year, all three of them to teams with 10 or more wins (Bears and Rams). They just shut out the 9-4 Dolphins last week.

I'm not saying that means it's a bad pick, but the Eagles stat is a bit misleading.

The Niners are giving up only 14 pts/game at home, so combine that with the Philly numbers and the numbers sure make the under look good.

Good luck.

i am staying away from this one, but i do remember garcia's hopeless look in his face with the st louis defense, who had him running for his life.

this one will be worse, garcia or not.

I've never felt consoled by winning the statistical battle after a non-cover.In my view, people who put too much weight on game stats were losing bets on the Chiefs, the Cards,Washington, and the Giants.I hope the Niners win the Stat war and the Eagles cover again. In fact if the Eagles do cover it may be that thats likely.By the way,the Eagles came a LOT closer to beating the STL Rams than the Niners did in TWO chances.I think their line play is better than SF.Not saying its a sure win,(nor do I need it to be) but Stats aren't as important as the bottom line:did they cover. The Niners have covered two straight home games. My view is they won't here.GL either way.

Got my moneys worth on the Phila/Sf.It was a great game,I thought, great ebb and flow, ultra physical.Won on the under for games and 2nd hlf, plus first half parlay, lost the straight phila, and six teamer, and 2nd half parlay.A miss is an good as a mile though.Congrats to Niners backers. That defensive stand was classic.Still gonna play the over in this next one,23 1st half and 45 for game.(I know, the Titans are gonna run a lot but I'm playing Oakland over at home 'til it fails to cover).Tomarrows another day Scarlet.GL

you and i saw two different teams in that series:

i saw a pitiful team that got 6, 7 tries and could not come up with a decent running play to make 1 or 2 yards. i had nothing in it, so it is a completely unbiased statement.

they seem to be so defense oriented, that they forget they need to have a couple of basic, high school off. plays for different situations, like the one here.

couple that with tenn's trying to run down the clock, with the only intention of going for a field goal, and you have two nominations for coach of the year.

pepin,re:sf/phila,to me it was more the sf d line and backers whippin'the guys across the line from them and getting into the backfield. As an old d tackle I appreciate that, even if I'd rather not have been treated to it right then.
