Anyone here think Federer, or anyone else, will beat Nadal?

I'm concerned about Djokovic, but I think Federer makes too many unforced errors to beat Nadal.

Nadal kicked off at +250 to win Wimbledon.

I just don't see anyone beating him, but I'd like to hear different opinions. In my opinion, the only reason Federer is favored is his streak of five in a row. Now, that's a good reason, but imo Nadal is clearly the superior player at this point, and the surface doesn't make as much difference as the experts say.

Have not wagered on Nadal yet, as I expect the +250 will be there through the first week. The best time to get Nadal was a few weeks ago at 6:1, from what I've read, but +250 is a very fair return for risk.

Maybe...

but i see indications of weakness.

- Federer says stuff in the press that he never said before. i dont read confidence in that.

- Nadal all but beat him last year

- Nadal whipped him at French, and Federer looked like a whipped cur

- Nadal has grown in power on serve. His ability to get to balls is jaw dropping.

- Djokovic is the only one who has the nads to beat Nadal, but he's just not quite as consistent. He's also made statements to the press that would have been better swallowed.

Nadal is going to win, and looking back, it will have been obvious that Federer passed his acme sometime last year.

That's my prediction. I could well be wrong.

against Nadal:

- ESPN starting to push him. this is the kiss of death in football.

- betting to break a streak (5 straight Wimb. wins for Federer)

in favor of Nadal, the grass isnt so grassy as in years past. it will be nice and worn down by the time he faces djokovic or federer. his power and persistence should see him to victory.

I like Nadal, but I think Federer comes back and wins this and then everyone says, "Federer shows everyone that he's still the man in tennis these days."

My vote goes for Federer or Djokovich

Safin says that Wimbledon is not what it used to be. It has changed from extremely fast to slower. That favors Nadal.

Nadal now down around +110.

Can't wait for the final. This will be one of the greatest sporting events of 2008. One of the very few worth watching. That's assuming Federer doesn't pup out.
