I cannot see how Navy - who has only practiced nine days for the best passing attack in the country - will stay with TT. I realize they are a good rushing attack (against VERY suspect opposition), but I think it's easier to stack the line with 8 in the box and make some stops than it is to cover 5 wideouts all game with the type of athletes Navy will throw out there to cover all those guys. Especially with so little preparation being done.

Navy has played no one that comes remotely close to this kind of offense this season, and are unprepared. They looked at the Army game as their big game, and obviously the coach did not force the lads to focus and bone up on Tech. Tech has proven they can play pitch and catch against some of the best defenses in the country, and I do not think Navy falls into that category. There is little reason (IMO) to think Navy won't have to play catch up at some point, probably early on...and it's hard to play catch up running the ball, when the defense (even a crappy one) knows you are not going to pass the ball.

I usually like to go with the better running team in bowl games...but this game does not set up that way in my estimation. I worry less about a back door cover with a team that has not shown the penchant to pass effectively. Especially with no practice.

Texas Tech -11.5 for 3* for me. This is a personal pick, apart from the fellas. Good luck today, and Happy New Year to the Jackers.

Agreed. Navy has not played anyone, and this one will get ugly. Even though the total is up there(74) I am going to throw a couple units on the over as well.
