Haven't posted NBA in a while. Homer alert tonight. I follow this Knicks team very closely and like this spot for them at home vs the champs. This is already a revenge spot, for one. CLE blew them out at home on opening night. Knicks were not ready adjusting to new system, coaches and players. Starting 5 hadn't even practiced together at that point. Cavs haven't been great on the road all season, but the Garden can bring the best out of some players, so a word of caution that this could be a big LeBron game. There is no doubt that the Garden will be rocking tonight and the Knicks can feed off that energy if they can keep it close or take an early lead. They have been great at home this year and you can see guys like Porzingis, Holiday, Kuz and Jennings, who will be starting tonight (an upgrade over Rose at this point in the season IMO), elevate their games in front of the home crowd. This is a big difference I've noticed from the past few (moribund) years where the young guys and bench players have really fed off the NY crowd. Knicks actually have the deeper bench, maybe without the superstars that the Cavs have, but they are deeper off the bench and have the guys who can knock down threes if it comes down to it. Cavs without the JR spark tonight too. You know he wants to hand it to his old team, but he's out. Don't be surprised to see Shumpert throw down a big dunk or hit a big three, but Cavs are thin. Like the blue and orange tonight...

NYK +9 2x
NYK +5 1H (-115) 1H 0.5x
NYK TT o103 (-115) 1x
NYK TT o102 (-115) 1x

Played a little ML at +400 too, but that's gone now...

Just saw where Derrick Rose is out tonight, which I guess is why Jennings is starting.

Yes, I expect Knicks to actually play better without rose tonight. Should be able to defend Kyrie better and Rose has been taking a lot of bad shots, without passing much. He's not settled in with this team yet, not sure he'll ever be.

A bit more on the team total...

I actually ended up getting a unit down at 103 and the 2nd unit I got at 102, which I adjusted above.

Knicks 7-3 L10 averaging 108.5ppg
Cavs 6-4 L10 giving up 107.8ppg

Knicks averaging 105.6ppg on the season, 107.2ppg during at 9-3 stretch in which they seem to have figured things out.

Cavs giving up 104.8ppg on the ROAD season, 112.3ppg on the road since Thanksgiving after which they began a road trip and their recent struggles seemed to begin.

Cavs have only won by double digits on the road once (out of 8 times) this season.

Well I never root against a fellow madjacker unless they're on the opposite side of my bet :0074

Any reason in particular that you like the Cavs, E?

What a depressing 1st half! I could easily see LeBron and co coming out in the 3Q and stepping on the Knicks throats. Knicks look confused and lost on defense. Too many turnovers and weak passes on offense. not necessarily bad shots, they just aren't making them. I'd like to see a little spark - just a little sign of life - out of them to start the 2H, but don't have the confidence to put in a halftime wager. At least they are within earshot of the pace needed for the team total to go over. They should be able to reach 103, I should think.

Sorry didn't get back to you, was at basketball for the kids.Mostly because Cavs are streaky and expect a winning streak from them after not covering for like 4 games.Figured Lebron would want to stick it to them after that Jackson comment about his "posse"

Deezy I think Knicks are gassed from beating Miami last night and getting home at 5am.
