Exactly. Despite how it may look, these young guys do have something to play for and they relish the spoiler role. Borrego coaching for his job next season and his players have backed him up with their play on the court. Not worried about Harris sitting this one out for the Magic and it's not like Brooklyn has played particularly well in these must win games. When describing the Nets, perhaps "The Truth" put it best:
"It was just the guys' attitudes there. It wasn't like we were surrounded by a bunch of young guys. They were vets who didn't want to play and didn't want to practice. I was looking around saying, 'What's this?' Kevin and I had to pick them up every day in practice. If me and Kevin weren't there, that team would have folded up. That team would have packed it in. We kept them going each and every day."
Anyway, it's one game and I could be wrong. But I'm betting I'm not.

WOW. Absolutely brutal the way that 4th quarter played out. Magic just folded and Bogdanovic couldn't miss. Too many minutes for Vucevic. He was gassed at the end not even going for rebounds, which was a surprise seeing as though he knew he needed 12 rebounds in this game to average 11 for the season, which would have set a record for three straight seasons averaging 11 or more reb/gm. Tough loss to swallow seeing as though the Magic were leading for the majority of the game and easily covering for the first 43 minutes. And so it goes late in games with young teams not playing for anything except pride. Ugh.
Indiana off to a slow start, which is understandable after a double OT game at home last night. But they will get into the locker and soon realize the gravity of the situation now that Brooklyn has won. I have maintained that the Pacers would get the 8 seed with Brooklyn being left out and I still feel that it's possible. The problem is that Memphis is playing for better seeding now that the Spurs lost in New Orleans, but this team has struggled late in games without Conley and Allen, especially defensively. Vogel is a great coach and should be able to get his team back in this game. Not sure if they will manage a win, but it should be competitive late.

opcorn2 Yea, I agree with the tech and the foul call that preceded it. Those were both pretty bad, but I'm not sure it would have made a difference. GS backups didn't want to be responsible for losing just the 3rd game at home all season. Denver still gets the cover for the game.
